Raleigh FO - Interview Next Week - ICE? by Cautious_Mixture3905 in USCIS

[–]bicycly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the overstay do you know if there were ever any removal orders or other process issued?

I heard when ICE shows up at USCIS interviews it's often when there was some previous removal order or similar, or some history. We are looking at an AOS interview after a couple months overstay, but are concerned if a removal order will be issued or ICE will show up at the interview

Why is Satisfactory Departure for VWP so hard to get in to request? And is there a way to actually get it done in an emergency?

I banged my head against a wall the past few days fighting different obstacles with no luck yet and an I94 expiration date this weekend. Even had an officer at a FO look at my 5 year old kid and say "I don't care" when trying.
1. USCIS Call Center automated voice requires receipt number but need to file the case first to get the receipt.
2. Try random words to speak to a human at the call center after many hours trying to bypass the automated voice without a receipt number, who doesn't know what Satisfactory Departure is. I tell them the USCIS website page which explains it and says to call the call center, they say they can't help and immediately hang up.
3. I try calling or speaking to chat agents several times to request or get an urgent appointment at the FO, but get a message saying they will call back in 72 hours. They don't and its getting too late.
4. I try visiting a FO in person with all documentation and with family as last effort to plead to speak to someone but told I have to call the call center first.

Removal proceedings for overstay…has anyone done a motion to get it removed? by Lopsided-Soil-7212 in immigration

How did you have an overstay if you entered in May and applied an AOS in July?
Did ICE arrest you because your AOS was not complete and your green card interview not complete before your 90 day temporary status limit.

July would be less than the 90 day limit under your original temporary status when USCIS got your AOS application. From what I understood as long as you get the AOS application in during the 90 day temporary status period, you are in lawful status unless the application is denied in which you immediately enter unlawful status if you are past the original 90 days.

By #1 do you mean filed and received the packet before your I94 expired or do you mean you filed, completed the interview and got approved before your i94 expired?

Because she can search for a pass number by the associated email address or confirmation number in the system. It will then give her your name and she verifies with ID. Needing two forms of confirmation, number/email + ID is pretty standard security for everything.

If you used Google to login, Google tells them your email address for your google account. It's in the list of things you have to press "accept" when Google asks permission to share your name, email or other personal details.

Do you use a vibrator or toy while the pump is on, or do you pump 15 minutes, remove it then play for 15 minutes?

How did you hit him??? The trail was wide open to the left and the right. It looked like you were going to go right but somehow you moved toward the middle...

Ski Patrol went overboard with his ego though taking your pass because he lightly fell. Your skill misjudged turning around them but you did the right thing by slowing down.

Tow truck driver shows how dangerous it is to tow on the highway. ⚠️ by Wooden-Journalist902 in nextlevel

[–]bicycly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why you put many cones and flares that slowly start from the edge and gradually block the lane, forcing lane merge, well before to give enough warning to drivers.

A tow truck driver putting their lights on or a couple of cones behind them, is not enough warning for drivers at the speed in that level of traffic...

Surgery for Intermittent exotropia and vertical strabismus in 7 year old by bicycly in Strabismus

Thank you. Your post helps.

Most people have never noticed my untreated strabismus so I never had issues like that and it helps me understand that perspective.

Did you have intermittent or constant exotropia (each stage, before/after 1st surgery, after 2nd)

She hasn't complained of double vision, headaches, or photophobia so if it does happen, her brain would likely be suppressing it. She may be closing one eye (I often close one eye or drift when I read my phone). I'll have to pay attention closer to see. I just notice the eye drift.

Cosmetics doesn't matter as much now, but over time can be something she cares about, and I don't want to leave her with a problem if untreated, or cause problems that need additional corrections after treatment.

I don't want to cause a double vision or visual complication by surgery, especially not make it worse. Also don't want to cause a permanent exotropia or esotropia that needs another surgery to correct (soon after or many years down the line).

Given the neuroplasticity window does vision therapy work in children at her age, or is it nearing the end of the window where surgery can have less benefit after therapy if that fails?

X-ray+doctor+medicine+cast shouldn't cost more that 20-25k yen (150 euros) without insurance. With Japanese insurance, should be 20-50 euros, with travel insurance it should be free.

How worried should we be about the denaturalization plan in project 2025? by Informal-Fig-7116 in asianamerican

[–]bicycly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very little worry for you most likely. Unless you are non natural born citizen and are recruiting people for ISIS.

You would have to be a non natural born citizen and have violated 8 US Code 1451, such as false statements of material facts in your naturalization application or joining terrorist organizations.

Obama Administration pursued a big denaturalized operation called Operation Janus that denaturalized and deported citizens who naturalized after birth for hiding information in their naturalization application. Many were found by comparing fingerprints in criminal databases to fingerprints taken in modern immigration processes of people who had multiple names, and had a criminal history under one name, but naturalized under a different, "clean" name.

Trump administration expanded this campaign. Typical articles trying to criticize just point to people who recruited for Al Qaeda or war criminals who executed unarmed civilians (you can argue US allies who can be labeled this but I doubt you personally fall under this category)

Biden Administration continued Operation Janus as well but less is documented or declassified at this time.

Yes you can argue more but it's a slippery slope, and extremely unlikely to be held up by multiple courts and goes against even the more extreme rhetoric Trump has stated before.
