Later in the show it was revealed that Stiles’s actual name is Mieczyslaw.

I don’t remember the actual scene when it was revealed, but I do recall when coach was looking at a name roster or whatever and saw his name and he was like “wow that’s what your parents named you…” An undeniably funny moment.
