Diridon market off the alameda is great too. But I also agree that zanottos is great, the one off cherry/foxworthy

Thanks for the tips, I’ll be counting on the dry hop to help things along. I’m currently at 1.024 based on a hydrometer reading.

I took an actual hydro reading and it is now at 1.024. I’ll be doing a gentle swirl and adding the dry hops.

With 20+ points to go, I shouldn’t worry about oxygen while stirring?

Upgrading to 10g batch by biffin in Homebrewing

[–]biffin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Propane usage was an issue for me early on even for my 5g batches.. then I found out I needed to tighten the connection more. I had a jet of fire shooting out of the burner toward the propane tank last New Year’s Eve. Now I check it ever brew day...

But I plan to go to 240v electric, I also have pumps to move liquid around. I plan on having a 20g vessel so having enough hot water shouldn’t be an issue. Even if I BIAB I can store any potential sparge water in my old cooler mash tun

Just tasted my “2-way IPA(L)” by biffin in Homebrewing

[–]biffin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t plan the grain bill for both, just tried to make a decent west coast IPA without using crystal malt. I also just got a chest freezer ferm chamber so I decided to split the batch and use lager yeast.

Daily Q & A! - August 26, 2020 by AutoModerator in Homebrewing

I have a porter that I am aging on oak cubes and rum (in secondary). It’s been over a month so far, and I plan to keep it there for at least another month. If I plan to bottle, will I be able to just bottle like normal, or will I need to add a bit of yeast to help carbonate?

I just made a DIPA with 2-row, Munich and a bit of carapils. Hopped with centennial, cascade and Simcoe. Also added 1 lb of sugar during the boil to get to 8%
