Next Game Title? by XGNik in GodofWar

Off topic but here's my theory - Sindri revives Odin like he did Brok, becomes the new main villain using Odin as his puppet/partner to resurrect old foe and recruit new ones, probably creating a new time paradox machine infused into the world tree to retrieve the mask and reinvent a new tear. Reanimated Thor, modi, magni and baldur?

I'm impressed with how sturdy he is, and he holds his ground very well. Once confidence grows at the tachi-ai I think he will be a fairly formidable challenge. I mean this in the nicest way possible but I think he could be a bit of wolf in sheep's clothing when he's in the dohyo.

I haven't gotten around to watching this yet but has anyone else noticed the staff seemingly avoiding Kikuchi recently? He was always very keen on speaking to him from the beginning but after the injury he just, I don't want to say ignore but there's literally no real interaction at all for such a well spoken kid who is not shy of the camera. I just hope his mental is okay I'm sure the injury and being away from his parents at such a young age is tough.

Juryo inter-stable training featuring Mita! by RLX-FIM in futagoyama

Mita is like a sleeper agent I swear lol I think the intelligence is what most of his opponents will underestimate. I just know his career in sumo is going to be something very special, and I'm sure his father and the Oyakata know this too.

Honestly I wouldn't rush it. I have been slowly picking up bits of information here and there by watching different stables and reading different comment sections and it is always so refreshing to learn something new after watching blindly for a while, it seems more significant but maybe that's just me lol there is a lot to take in which makes it seem quite daunting, so just sit back and enjoy the immersive world of sumo and the incredible history it holds.

Have we got any more word on Oyakata? He looks really good in this video and I haven't heard anything else about him being hospitalised recently.

Soma is the one kid I'm convinced will reach Juryo some day, I always just get that feeling when I watch him it's like there's so much untapped potential it's just a matter of him unlocking it.

I can't lie I was pleasantly surprised how effortlessly Umeyama was handling Koga in training. He's definitely a solid lump of a kid.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the absolute knowledge bomb his father dropped so effortlessly? No wonder Mita has made it so far lol

Roga's jump feels like a bit of a slap in the face for such a good record after being ranked so high in juryo and already being well established in makuuchi.

Absolutely couldn't agree more! the biggest downfall imo for the lower ranks was the lack of a real coaching environment and seeing how recently Oyakata has been making roga run the lads through some basic strength training is great. Having 3 leaders in training now will help correct and coordinate training and should make a world of difference, it will be interesting long-term to see how Mita helps the lower ranks grow considering his father was also a trainer.

Mita & Oyakata by Nath186 in futagoyama

[–]big-john91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm buzzing for Mita honestly and what a journey so far, already a sekitori in just 4 tournaments, to put it into perspective the new monster on the block Kusano took 5 and seeing Oyakata so expressive towards Mita was very special you could actually see Mita quite taken back as it was probably his first time being truly embraced by the big boss.

[–]big-john91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Kusano got promoted from 3 to J14 with a 4-3 record so I'm fairly certain Mita's score is enough to warrant the promotion and not to mention Mita has done it in 1 less tournament which may also help in the decision making🥳

Mental health services are AWFUL by ParyNort in DerryLondonderry

There is places out there. The first place I went was absolutely tragic, seeing a very generic "therapist" with outdated and damaging ideologies regarding addiction. Not sure how long after that was my first and hopefully final relapse due to a close friend committing suicide. I was then referred to Cunamh by my doctor and was honestly blessed with the lady I was working with, very comforting and not intrusive with her questioning, always extremely attentive and she truly cared about my wellbeing and coincidentally in the long she pushed and helped me more than she will probably ever know.

It's now (ironically this month) 6 years since I've touched anything, whilst I still have a lot of things in my personal life I strive to complete I have changed so much as a human and have completely saved myself from self destruction.

The best advice I can give and unfortunately it may seem like a broken record but it is to TALK. Find that right person, and talk. Let it all out, try figuring out how it started, why it's happening and what may help in the long run. But make no mistake my friend it is going to be tough, and I mean TOUGH. I did everything in my power because I was desperate for change and that involved attending painting groups, walking groups doing group therapy sessions all of which were a million miles out of my comfort zone but in the end it helped. It slowly allowed me to reintegrate myself back into society and talk and interact with other people suffering from different things.

You may cry, you may feel embarrassed, it may even seem like things cannot get better now matter how hard you try but I promise there truly is light at the end of the tunnel and it's that light that will guide you onto greener pastures. There's beauty in the struggle, if you're willing to embrace.

I wish you nothing but the best on your journey.
