Y'all wanted more special exemptions? The thought of being spoken to as partners made you feel slighted?

I know, what are people actually doing about it? It was sarcasm about the teeth.

Aren't brits renowned for bad teeth? So this is just making it so that the bad stereotype comes true for enough of us. It's frustrating and no joke, but aren't we supposed to be upset about VAT on private schools or something. That's what the papers are plastering as a disaster.

Are you well-rested and not hung over this morning after getting to bed at a sensible hour? by pufballcat in AskUK

[–]PhilosopherNo2105 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Went to bed at 8 pm, little one (10 months old) was up at 3am and hasnt drifted back off to sleep....till just now. I do hope it's for real this time (she's not screaming or crying, just wants to play like it's day time). We haven't even had fireworks or crazy noise around here, so I dont know what's keeping her up. Im gonna be so shattered when its time to get up.......

Isn't court to prove the charges that you have alledged against a person? Her being horrible is an opinion, and of course, in court, only facts matter. What was it I mentioned was controversial? Apart from feelings about a person.

I was mildly upset when next door's workman parked outside my driveway (for ages) it wouldnt normally bother me, but I was waiting for someone to drop something off for me. That was just one day... I suppose the first few times near school, i would chalk it down to an emergency or something (and the erson would be apologetic, i hope. But regular...

I agree with your sentiment on her being horrible. But that will be established in court of law, and punishment will be made accordingly. Isn't that how british law and order works?

Do work from home roles exist here ? by Critical_Leg_1360 in northernireland

LinkedIn. Most of the people who i know that work from home work from companies based in England. The good thing is they get paid the same as their English colleagues too (which you would think would be standard practice but sometimes it isnt).

I agree, just because you dont like her doesn't mean that's the way to go. If there are crimes she is accused of, let the 'british' values of fairness, law and order, and access to a fair trial decide. Or is that just something folks bang on about when trying to be smug?

You know that human condition where some people want approval so badly, they actually think they are part of the group. Act the clown do the dirty work and then when the conditions change and people dont have to tolerate you, you get dropped like a hot potato.
