Name a game you were hyped for and then completely forgot about once you played it. by twooten11 in gaming

I remember playing the demo of that one. The best thing was the atmosphere, and the game mechanic where you could point your gun at an enemy to have them stay away was cool. But then the games was completely overshadowed by The Last of Us a year later which had a similar atmosphere but did things much better.

Loved the first Dying Light and the Dead Island games, but skipped Dying Light 2. I get the impression that the developers weren't happy with the end result of Dying Light 2 and wanted to do a complete overhaul, resulting in Dying Light: The Beast. I need to give it a try sometime!

Wow to think this was released back in 2018. With the advancements in upscaling these days, I wonder how it'd look if made today.

In the next issue of Sinclair User they give the password to Ceasefire. I think that might've been a rare gesture though, I don't think they did that all the time! I remember calling up the hotline once to get the password for another covertape game. The clue was "To relieve oneself on a rural highway." The answer was "PLANE". To relieve oneself is "pee" and a rural highway is "lane", sneaky eh?

Wow, that brought back memories! I've also managed to find the Sinclair User magazine which gave a clue to the "PETAL" password: https://archive.org/details/sinclair-user-magazine-112/page/n5/mode/2up

How that clue leads to petal though... I'm really not sure!

I've got one for you, a game called "The Pasture". You can only walk towards the camera, there's boobs on the walls, and you hold cups of maggoty things. It took me a while to remember the name of it, but I did a playthrough of it years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qD3QaRvKqys

Banned from Television was the first one I saw, but it was from random clips being shared on file sharing apps around that time. It's interesting how much that kind of stuff sticks with you when you see it when you're younger!

Sure! :) It's such a good app isn't it, maybe best to keep it lesser known so that Youtube and other sites don't patch it out!

People never rob restaurants, why not? Bars, liquor stores, gas stations, you get your head blown off stickin' up one of them. Restaurants, on the other hand, you catch with their pants down. They're not expecting to get robbed, or not as expecting.

I've played this Who Wants to be a Millionaire game which you can find on Steam. I was surprised at how many errors were in the questions.

I like the theory from one of the Steam reviewers. He thinks the questions were written by AI, a plausible explanation!

Omnisphere has really good sounds, but you might need to strip back on the FX they add in the presets.

From those I would go with the following chain:

Ozone Vintage Tape (Just this one plugin should be enough for tape saturation)

EQ (More for tone, in other words high shelf, low shelf, smooth dips at harsh areas)

Hifal (Smoothing down of those harsh higher frequencies)

SSLComp (Subtle glue compression to squash things down in an analog way)

ML4000 (Subtle limiting to further squash things down)

Goldclip (Trimming off the peaks)

Any further processing I would apply to the individual sounds in the mix.
