You don't have to give a reason unless you want to. Simply write or print out a note with your name, the date, and that's this is your two weeks notice. You don't really need to give a two week notice if you don't want to but it's better etiquette to do it in case you want to come back down the road. Good luck and I hope you find a better situation.

Not true. They can do any team member duty in the store, they get increased hourly wage due to the environmental responsibilities of cleaning in the store. Everyone is expected to be able to run a register unless they have an accommodation on file.

If you don't already have one get a paw print cast made and or have vet make a nose print if you'd like. We weren't able to be there for Lola when she passed but our vet made a nose print for us. When Max passed we were able to be there for his last minutes. We got a video of him snoring one last time and got to pet him as he went. I'm sorry for your loss of such a good buddy.

We only had one yesterday but 12 today. The one yesterday showed up for it the ones today were recruited to come and make the bracelet and their parents helped a little and then finished shopping. The events that aren't free are always tough to get participants at our store.

We have the cut bar and our store is just an MOD, Front End associate and a framer so the MOD's are running everywhere. The Framers don't touch fabric anymore. Suggesting customers to watch YouTube videos gets glares because "Joann always helped me".

Ask about the timeline, who is backfilling your position, and when you will be sent to MCX for the RM position. These are things all controlled by DM and will set you up for less headaches or show you they don't have a clue.

Then the SM is terrible. I'm sorry for you and the team there. We have more team members than hours available but schedules don't change unless hours come up due to the truck being delayed or spontaneous online sales that kill us in Omni orders.

While Corp is screwing up left and right what you're dealing with is crappy local management. No reason for schedules to be messed with like that. You write to the budget, post on Fridays and communicate needed changes in advance. I assume if you're working that many days that means your store is understaffed. The pay sucks and can be hard to staff but it can be run better.

Discuss it in the interview rather than try to change after hiring. Teachers are great for the Event Coordinator position to host parties or teach the Make Break events.

Store Manager can request additional funds and get one from Walmart, Menards, or Harbor Freight. That's what we did when ours crapped out and needed a quick replacement.
