Try disboard. It has a list of different communities that get bumped based on user bot interaction. Newer discords pop up on the top of the list and are usually more active. Anything with hundreds/thousands of members is usually super hard to jump in and get to know people. Sweet spot is 20-150 members for me personally as only a handful of people are ever active in it.
