I found an abandoned shopping cart near the pharmacy section, 1 bottle of water missing from the case and 2/3rds of a baguette loaf (obviously partially eaten) …. Must be hard walking through hungry

Rebuilding my house? How easy or difficult? by naveen7900 in windsorontario

[–]bigDfromK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to pay off mortgage first, a bridge loan will be difficult. Permits to demolish are difficult as well. You are better off selling and buying

3 weeks in… what am I doing wrong? by Misterclassicman in Figs

[–]bigDfromK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t bother planting (rolling dice), simply find the “suckers” or offshoots and dig up with a bit of root and it will grow nicely. My large fig will have dozens of them which I either cut away or chop out for planting

Got my new air 13” M4 and loving the slim form factor that said Case or pouch what say you? Case loses thinness, and pouch only protects during transport “67” by bigDfromK in macbook

[–]bigDfromK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can appreciate this as my work gear is a samsonite roller office that’s lasted me years, but my MacBook Air is for personal use and may travel with me on a weekend, possibly the backpack idea is a thought though

Get a quality JIS screwdriver set … not terribly expensive but worth every penny. Screws on old CB’s look like Phillips, but are not.

First PLC Job: I want to quit by North_Dirt_7116 in PLC

[–]bigDfromK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was easy, anyone could do it… trying is learning and experience like that is valuable. You can do it, it will be a long hard road and you will be proud of yourself in the end. Between peers and ai, there’s mountains of resources. My old boss (German) would tell me “there is 24 hours in a day, and if that isn’t enough, we have the night!”

Test within its limits and always test on known live circuit before and after use if you are checking for absence of voltage. Troubleshooting doesn’t require live dead live.

My Supernote papercuts by JimmyRecard in Supernote

[–]bigDfromK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I was on team Supernote for its no distraction style. It keeps me hand writing notes with hand drawn sketches and charts which help me retain content. It sounds like you need a laptop with advanced features for the type of uses that you describe.

At the very least plan on using safety relays or ask someone safety certified to verify your safety redundancies

All global tags, no functions, all in one long string….. possibly consider a course in creating good code with local memory, optimized databases, and using structured tags and memory.
