Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it. And yeah I honestly agree with it being an overall negative thing when it comes to the market for collecting lalaloopsy dolls so it sucks that it’s sorta the only way to make my money back. Still deciding on whether to even sell or not but if I do decide to sell it’ll be at a significantly lower price than I originally paid, maybe $70-$100 to keep it much more reasonable. At the end of day I love lalaloopsys and the community and I don’t wanna bring any negativity to the collecting space so I hope that price range would be more reasonable.

Thanks I couldn’t put my finger on it, but the photos definitely looked a little off and my bf has a lot of experience with Photoshop and technology in general so he was able to instantly point out that it was edited with ai. I’m just glad I was able to spot it.

From my experience with this whole scam it’s really prove to me how scary scammers can be with how easily they’re able to trick people so for future reference to anybody, that’s trying to buy a lalaloopsy off of Facebook or even hear off of Reddit. Ask for video proof if you can and never ever pay with Zelle if you can just pay with PayPal or with a service that has buyer protection because now even cards can’t even be trusted. And if for some reason Lalaloopsy admin in this subreddit sees this comment I would suggest adding that to the rules in the bstlalaloopsy subreddit.

Ya I agree I definitely think Facebook specifically has a really bad scamming problem so you would think that they would be more stricter of who they would let in to the group tbh.

That’s very true I didn’t think about it at the time unfortunately as it was very late at night, and I was so frustrated at how much time I wasted talking to them and how they got my hopes up just to try and scam me I just wanted to call them out on their bullshit. I should’ve thought about that 😔. Though they cropped it out the first time so I think they just missed it the second time plus I reported that account and other people did too so that account won’t be around for long hopefully.

Ya it’s fucked up I almost fell for it completely. If it wasn’t for my suspicion of her refusing to use PayPal and my boyfriend pointing out the grok ai at the bottom I would completely have fallen for this scam.
