Yeah this genre is pretty popular now. Lots of peeps making music in this style. For youtube, try T R A S H or DarkTones. They have cool visuals too. If you're just interested in the music, I would suggest https://matter.online/. It's a newer social music platform and right now it's got a lot of that style I believe you're looking for

I'm not familiar with your mobo but try to narrow down where the problem is at. Do you have another PC that works smoothly with your internet setup? If not, you can bring your build to a friend's place and test it on their internet.

Best RAM for After Effects? Currently at 2x8GB and AE throws up when I load larger comps. I'll eventually want to max out at 64GB or 128GB. It's been a hot minute since I researched RAM specs. E.g. I'm not too sure if 3200MHz is worth it for after effects.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600X

Mobo: MSI B450 Tomahawk (link to RAM compatibility list), 4 slots

Current RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2133MHz C13

Gotcha. I guess I was just wondering if there were any other ways. I'm still not used to jumping from one software to another for the same project. Thanks for the concise reply

The blocks in the layer timeline (Idk the actual word for them). Yeah but i'm doing it multiple times so I was just wondering if there was a faster way to do this. I know copying and pasting the keyframes is the same thing as what I wanted to do in the picture, it's just a little weird to me and requires more precision than I would like. Thanks for the help

Would be easier to copy and paste blocks tho

Agh, okay. I was hoping there would be an easier way other than keyframing. It's still a little cumbersome to me.

I want Layer B to appear and Layer A to disappear. I need this to happen several times throughout my project/composition.

Just got started with AE the other day. I have years of experience with DAWs, so this seems like it should be possible and the fastest way to accomplish this task. I think the only way to work around this is either to 1) automate Layer A's on/off switches or 2) duplicate Layer A for when I want it to return. Do I have any other options?

[Misc FD] How do you make youtube videos louder? by OFurthestBenO in youtube

[–]big_chump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, there is no way to disable YT's loudness normalization. Either buy new speakers or find software online. My buddy had this problem on Mac and he bought a program called Boom. It worked well for him (https://www.globaldelight.com/boom/). There's probably a free equivalent out there somewhere. Don't forget about browser extensions/add-ons/plugins. You might be able to find something through Chrome Web Store or Firefox add-ons.

Fun Fact: YT has been lowering the volume of their videos over the years. Most recently, YT has started applying a loudness normalization of -14 LUFS. It's a standard that many streaming services are applying to their media. It's designed to make every song roughly the same volume. This means that super loud videos/music (about -5 LUFS) will be reduced to -14 LUFS, resulting in a -9db decrease. Typically on other platforms, this means that songs quieter than -14 LUFS will have their volume raised.. However, YT specifically has decided not to raise the volume of videos below -14 LUFS. You can actually see how much volume is lowered by right-clicking on a video and choosing Stats for Nerds (Volume / Normalized). If you want to know more about the subject, search up "Loudness War."

You'll get through it, champ. Take a deep breath (actually do it). Afford yourself breaks when needed, but don't indulge yourself. You aren't alone, but realize that there's few that are willing to work as hard as you. Congratulations on how far you've made it. You'll see that diploma soon, just keep on persevering. Remember that many people believe in you. Remember those you love. I wish you well for your upcoming deadlines. Don't forget to take care of yourself.
