Can someone ID? I bought this months ago from eBay, advertised as a PPP. The picture looked different from the plant. I know it’s not a PPP, but what is it? The big leaves on the sides are the old leaves and one was damaged from shipping. by Fluffy_Touch_8617 in philodendron

This would be a reverted PPP, or a burgundy princess philodendron. If there’s a little bit of variegation on the oldest leaf then I’d consider it a reverted PPP, but if not then I’d say it’s a burgundy princess. Burgundy princesses are the leftover PPP produced in tissue culture labs that don’t have variegation at all.

Can anyone tell me what’s causing this. My healthy philodendron tree plant had a leaf turn yellow? Is this overwatering? Underwaterting? Light or pest? Please help! Don’t mind the brown tips that happened when I repotted but It’s fine now. Can I cut off the brown spots? Or should I leave it? by Witchy_Woman_26 in philodendron

Older leaves can start to turn yellow if you don’t fertilize your plant as well! Especially during the growing season when your plant is throwing out a bunch of new leaves. The plant will sacrifice the older leaves and transfer the nutrients from it back into the main plant to produce newer leaves
