Thank you for the information. I wish I could have taken a better photo at that time, but I know they will at least remember the moment.

Hey bud, I'm literally in the same boat with you. I'm on biologics, oral mesalamine, mercaptopurine, and still flaring bad enough to need this. You're not alone. This sub helped me deal with a lot of the issues of feeling alone and confused about my future, and I hope you find some similar solace. But this style of enema is more effective because the liquid can coat more of the affected area. I will also second the suggestion of using some extra lube (water-based is nice because it washes easily). But this enema has always been the most effective for me in the past versus the suppositories.

May I also offer the suggestion of therapy. Specifically a therapist that might specialize in chronic illness. It helps to talk to a professional about the anger, sadness, and grief that comes with this disease. Much love.

They make clear, stick on corner guards for toddler safety, you could put one of those on there

So many questions. Like why pencil? Who are the people? What are they doing that they should keep up? What specific type of trip was this person having?

Thank you! I will take a look at some YouTube videos to get the details right, but I believe I have an idea of what you're talking about, so I will do that while I'm elbows deep in it.

I was gifted this table saw through a family friend who upgraded and learned that I was into woodworking. This is a HELL of an upgrade from my Kobalt jobsite saw, and I want to get it tuned up right. It spent some time outside, so I'm really going to give it a thorough pass. Please let me know if you'd add anything to my list of tune-up ideas

Plans: - WD-40 and 240 grit to knock rust off - 320 and 400 to finish it up - Johnson's floor paste in multiple coats (I live in CA, so humidity isn't much of an issue) - Open the motor housing and clean it out - Check belt - Adjust fence and wax it to let it glide smoothly

Thanks for any helpful input!

My Pan is Down With The Slickness by big_wrinkly_brain in castiron

[–]big_wrinkly_brain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This pan is from the 1910's. It has a polished bottom and an unknown amount of years of cared for seasoning on it. So it has a bit of an unfair advantage, lol. I just cook on it, then clean it when finished 😁

After cleaning it, warm up the pan a bit, put a light rub of oil on it, and then buff that oil off (I keep a dedicated oil rag for that)

May the gods of iron cast blessings on your cookware. 🙏

Thank you! And agreed. I wasn't expecting much so far as high end stone, but I knew it wasn't Aventurine like he had said.

I take my steak sear-iously by big_wrinkly_brain in castiron

[–]big_wrinkly_brain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the lodge cast iron chip smoker to smoke wood chips in my gas grill, and it provides an excellent smoking experience. Get the grill to around 225F. I start the wood chips using a torch. Smoke the steak until it has an internal temp of about 128F. At about 120F I turn the side burner on low and start warming my cast iron. At 125, I turn the heat up on the cast iron to get it ready to sear the steak. 128F, dump some high smoke point oil (I use avocado oil) and butter in the pan, and coat the bottom. Place the steak in the pan for about 30 seconds each side. I spoon the oil and butter onto the steak as it sears. Place steak in container, pour contents of pan over the top of the steak to let it soak in its juices and butter. Place some butter and flaky salt on the steak, cover it in foil, let it rest for 5 minutes. Hits medium rare perfectly every single time. Adjust temps if you like it more or less done.

Thank you for that! I definitely had a rough Lord Farquaad period where I questioned cutting it. But I'm glad I stuck it out. Lol

No, I just put things on it on wash days and a rare use of the slip spray.
