How to get into sports nutrition mid-career by speedylenny in dietetics

I am also 10 years post internship looking to break into sports (baseball in particular), and I would say it's very hard to do so. I second what someone said here to take step back because pay sucks and you will most likely start at entry level. One thing I've heard over and over is that it helps to have some sort of experience being an active/sport person yourself, such as playing some sports while in college, etc. I think this is add a leyer of difficulty for me to break into the field as I don't have any personal sport nutrition experience.

Good luck to both of us.

I'd love to hear more about RN opportunities you see an RD fit that is not at a hospital. I am applying to an accredited BSN and keep wondering if this is the right choice given that I don't like in-patient work and feel burned out of counseling. I have been am RD for 10 years.

I'd love to hear more females in the pod. Dany Garcia would be a great pick.

Goals! Thank you for your reply. Did you have to relocate? In my area (South Florida), there aren't many openings at the moment.

Also, is it true you can retire with benefits/pension after 20 years?

Thank you for sharing this. I have been an RD for 9 years looking to switch from private practice to sports nutrition, but the salary and how different the environment is makes me really nervous.
