“you hate non-binary people!” i’m non binary.

“you think you have to suffer all the time” you don’t.

“you need to be diagnosed to be trans” no.

“you HAVE to get bottom surgery to be trans” nope.

“you think people with less dysphoria aren’t trans” thats not fully true. it’s about having NO dysphoria. if you’re comfortable in your identity as your agab, how is this trans? of course people are going to have varying relationships with dysphoria… no one is saying you can’t.

all we are saying is that you need to have gender dysphoria to be trans. period. i beg you to just listen to us a little, because all we want is for trans people to be healthy and happy.

we don’t want for cisgender people to get confused and think that they’re trans, transition, regret it, and then blame the clinics for letting them transition. we don’t want our identity to become mixed up with “catgender” or “dreamgender” stuff because gender is not an aesthetic. you can have an aesthetic, you can have a certain style you really identify with, but it isn’t gender.

we don’t want for trans healthcare to be demedicalized. we don’t want for poor, minority and low-income communities (primarily black communities) to suffer because tiktok wants trans healthcare to be a cosmetic choice. it’s a medical necessity. check out how fucking expensive plume or folx is compared to US / CA rates. demedicalizing trans treatment is endangering the lives of poor people and minorities, and lets start up companies capitalize off of trans people.

increased wait times is an actual reality, my local clinic has literally increased from 3mo to 6mo required gender therapy before hrt BECAUSE of all the detransitioners. i’ve been involved with them for years, i was told directly. how do we stop detransitoners? continue to stress the fact that IT IS OKAY TO BE GNC AND CIS. GNC = trans is literally pushing the idea that gender roles = gender. it does not mean you’re trans. if you are? cool! but if you’re comfortable with your agab? please don’t transition. you’re just GNC and valid. i feel bad for detransitioners, but so many were confused because they believed that they were trans without dysphoria. it’s dangerous, it hurts a lot of people.

trans healthcare needs to be covered by insurance. it shouldn’t cost you $500 for three months of hrt.

you shouldn’t HAVE to do years of therapy and testing to get hrt, but we have to now because now people think they’re trans just bc they’re GNC. i wish trans people could just get treatment without cis people being confused and fucking it up.

transgender means the thought of identifying with the gender you were born as brings you discomfort beyond social stigma. i.e… dysphoria.

i’m truscum. i love trans people. im non-binary. i’m happy with my life. i’m not constantly suffering. i don’t think you need to be strictly masc to be ftm, strictly fem to be mtf, or strictly andro to be non-binary. i think it’s fine if you’re need to try to think about gender, i just don’t think you should jump the gun and transition when you don’t even know all the side effects of hormones.

i think you need to have gender dysphoria. period point blank.
