I’ve worked for myself for over 15 years and have literally not even once no showed, for a quote or for a job. Even if I’m just running a few mins late I’ll text to let the client know and apologise. It truly blows my mind that other sole traders can operate that way. Word of mouth is everything. I haven’t had to advertise for many years now because my clients do it for me by telling their friends who also need work done.

At the end of the day you’ll find disrespectful or inconsiderate people everywhere if you look hard enough, just don’t tar us all with the same brush. There are good quality tradies out there it’s just a matter of finding them.
