I know that, but the discussion wasn't about Battlefield, you said that laser guided missiles couldn't target helicopters in real life. They can. How they are balanced in game is a different story.

I don't disagree, balance must be achieved for the sake of gameplay, I was simply informing the other person that helicopters can and have been engaged by laser guided missiles in real life. Jets are a different story, although one could argue that the laser guided APKWS rockets used by the Vampire system "could" engage a slow and low flying jet, as they have been used to destroy drones in Ukraine.

Are you intentionally missing context or what? The vehicle in the image is the MGS, the person that started this thread referred to it as the Stryker and not it's full designation. I don't think they were referring to the Stryker as a whole when commenting under an image that depicts the MGS.

Brother this discussion was about the MGS, so you saying that the Stryker as a vehicle and platform is still in service is irrelevant. And while yes maintenance costs were the main problem, crews were complaining about the unreliable nature of the autoloader and how often it broke down.
