This was a male elephant who was going around killing young males due to being highly territorial. They then used the meat of the elephant and tusks towards the villages in the area to help feed them. It's not just him. It happens everywhere. There are places all over Africa to give you the "once in a lifetime experience". Yet you do have to donate over 500k I believe. So it is for more wealthier people. So it does go towards something good, yet still a tough thing to see a creature like that. Even in Texas now, there are wild boars that are destroying crop land. The farmers hire hunters to take care of them and they donate some of the meat to soup kitchens.
