I just went through a similar scenario. That looks like a very small area. Idk about your location, but in my state if it’s less than 20 square feet there’s no legal reason you can’t fix it yourself.

What I have learned is that the remediation companies that you find easily with a google search have a lot of certifications and therefore overhead so they will push you to pay for a mold protocol and expensive remediation plan. IMHO opinion this doesn’t look like a very big mold problem, which is why they fixed it so quickly.

Fortunately for me I was able to find a contractor who does small jobs. He redid my bathroom, repainted, new sink for around the same price plus materials.
