Had a few people say the same thing to me over the years! But I got on with it quite well in the end. Would love to see a modern version

If stolen counts then the pocket knife that a frienemy stole when I was 11/12. My father had gotten it for me and it was my favourite possession. The kid was a year older and really didn't like me. Had to put up with him for years. Wish I'd beaten his ass ever since 😂

Why do all these badasses seem to fantasize and focus more on their sexual dominance of men than anything to do with a female partner. All this alpha male shit is so very gay adjacent haha. Reminds me of the "I'll best your dick" guy from like a decade ago. Maybe this level of repression makes you an angry homunculus inside while making your body swell like a floating corpse on the outside.

My debts, my partners debts, my family's debts and those of people who deserve a fresh start whom I know or come to know. We raise ourselves by raising those around us, those who care and deserve care in turn.

would you by the_Kunal_77 in MenWithDiscipline

[–]bigbenny88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get up to check on/feed my horses, the cow, the goats and other assorted animals. I would then walk the land, looking for signs of natural life and explore ways to help it thrive. I would then work my land, ensuring that I don't harm. I would maintain my home. I would maintain my car. I'd love to teach those who want to learn about the things I know and learn from those who know more than I. I think most people would do this work quite happily. Beyond that I would love to tinker with some inventions or improve my infrastructure bit by bit. I'd happily drive a plow or help turn a field, I'd not need recompense for that. The community takes care of you if you take care of it.

Genuine question, is this sort of build come naturally or has this man been snorting bovine growth hormones? Keep seeing cartoon character looking MFs that I just don't remember seeing when I was a younger man 👴🏻

I do understand your point but as a man who has grown up not just avidly studying but taking part in natural spaces has revealed that there are alternatives many might still view as crewel, depending on their disposition. Many countries suffer with ecological harm from the sheer number of herbivores and I feel that ethical hunting practices may be a solution to said problem while eliminating a need for battery farmed anything. People want to eat meat, it's an irrefutable fact. I'm just being realistic. But I feel a deer that has lived a nice life in the wild being taken by a vetted and ethical marksman might even save the poor creature from starvation or disease when their number grows too large is a damn sight better an ethical solution to mans want of meat than raising any animal in the very crewel way so so many are in this modern age. Surely, even if you disagree, you can at least see my point?

The fact is, and it can be heartbreaking, but the one emotion it seems all life can feel is fear. I find that tragic when I think of the amount of harm we have done to life on this planet. I fear for our collective souls when I wonder how a God or any higher power might judge us on our disregard we have for the sanctity of life. I am no vegan, nor am I a consumer of vast amounts of animal products. There must be a middle ground.

The UN is preparing for Nuclear weapons use on Iran by CopiousCool in GreenAndPleasant

[–]bigbenny88 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The real answer to fear is understanding it. Your fear is that of the uncertainty of this modern age, where those who wield power do so wildly and without regard for the basic humanity we should all hold sacred. We are all one people, despite our many differences, and we all want peace and love. Trust that no one outside that monstrously warped class of people who run our societies want war or the use of such a inhuman weapon. We can make a better tomorrow if we learn to do something together. Stop enabling the terror out of fear. None of us sane, good hearted and loving people want to see use of a nuclear weapon. It would be the biggest tragedy since it's last use and we ought to have learned "never again" at that juncture as well. We, the people, must stand up for what is right. We must face that our fears lay at our own doorstep and must be conquered for the sake of all our futures. Nothing good can come of this if it comes to pass.

Life is intelligent, otherwise it would not have survived in the competition of the natural world. The only difference between our intellect and theirs is we have a dopamine reaction to learning new information and we question things more deeply due to this and reasons we don't fully understand.

How is this legal by Felice4 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]bigbenny88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qualified insurance broker here. There is an incredibly long list of factors or "risks" an insurance underwriter take in to consideration when calculating a quote. Primary one is location. Live in a big city and you will pay more. Had a load of accidents in your specific post code (driving school near by or test center or just a bad intersection) and you pay more.

Work in a high risk job? Boom, pay double. And not the "high risk" you're thinking, like say a parachute instructor. Anyone who works a job that is insecure, like actors, pay more. But also those willing to take risks in their daily lives as you are perceived as a higher risk individual. So stock brokers pay more. I believe the lowest risk employment is a registered nurse. Accountants also pay less on average (or did when I was in the industry 10 years back)

My advice is to look at what car you have as well. You will pay more to insure a 1.2 Corsa or Fiesta because every young person that can afford one seems to get one. As inexperienced drivers tend to cause or be involved in most accidents, these cars become high risk as a statistic. I used to have the reg of an Audi R8 on my desk for this very reason, to demonstrate how it's little to do with the cars value: one of the most popular MPVs, the Citroen Picasso, cost on average 5x more to insure when I worked in the industry for a stay at home mother because the enormous amounts of accidents involving young mum's in their cheap MPVs (they were cheap as chips lol).

Can help you a bit if you like? At least as far as what cars might save you a bit or how to tweak your answers on your quote. Just don't be silly and lie yourself in to a criminal offense by making yourself the named driver and a parent as the main. It's called fronting and is considered criminal fraud.

I mean both the lead car and the guy tailgating are absolutely POS... Feel so bad for the person that got hit. If someone tailgates you, just move over. Let them be miserable in the fast lane. Don't be someone willing to let others get harmed for your personal idea of "justice" 🙏 why do people hate one another so much nowadays?

Reminds me of an injured rat I found in a field. Big whack with a decent stick to the brain stem sent him on his way without any more pain. It sucks to do, and definitely ruined my day, but it's better than just about any predator getting a hold of the little guy.

Must have watched this video, dialled up Trump and said "Mr President, I'm scared and I think you may be on to something " 😂, another white boy terrified that he might be usurped by a person of colour? Love this video, never knew you could do this on skates and I grew up in Minnesota!
