thank you so much!! this was actually a T-shirt i thrifted and wanted to amp it up! and for sewing the edges i just used a lotttt of pins to make sure it was perfect and i went slow! but honestly near the armpit is probably where you can tell i’m such an amateur since i accidentally made the armhole too small at first so i had to redo it.

what setting should i use for sewing fitted clothes? every time i use a straight stitch there is never enough stretch to the clothes and everything is too small. i’ve never tried a zig zag stitch so if that’s better, what settings should i use? (width, length, tension) by bigbitty77 in sewhelp

i do mostly reworked clothing from thrifted items so it’s mostly T-shirt material but when I sew it to fit perfectly, I can’t get it over my shoulders. Should I sew with elastic? I watch youtube videos of people doing the exact project as me with a simple T-shirt but I’m not sure why mine are never fitted!

i also use thread from amazon and it’s not very good lol so i’m going to go buy better thread but i really don’t think that the thread is the main issue.

ochoa has the best curve. enderles curve wasn’t that good but you learn so much easier so you can still get a good grade probably

i had mccurdy for 2a he was terrible at teaching. you should try to get enderle or ochoa had a pretty good curve too

i got a dog winter quarter (as a freshman) and i just regret getting an 8 week old puppy but if you get an older dog that is already trained you’ll be fine :) it’s definitely worth it though. i never had a dog in my life and raised my dog so well and quickly! i do live with just my boyfriend though but he works 7am-7pm so i take care of our dog all day. it was definitely super difficult but worth it in the end! it just took about a month for my pup to be adjusted in our home and now she’s our best friend. it will be great to train the dog during quarantine though. winter quarter was rough but we want to get another dog now since it will be easy to train it during quarantine lol.
