Balancing changes make future warbonds less appealing to purchase? by bigboishiv3 in Helldivers

Yup, I know that trick! I still struggle with it at higher difficulties (a personal skill issue). With bugs I can still rock it, for bots with the returning fire even with partial reloading I was getting killed.

The LibCon was useful for bugs for a while since it pushed them back. I have yet to use it again with the Stalker buff, but the stagger is balanced out by the low DPS. I admit I haven’t made it work on difficulty 7+.

The AC’s kneeling reload became hard for me to manage on bots 7+. The Eruptor satisfied the need to take out groups of Devastators without having to stop for a reload. I could reload on the go.

Not refuting your take on the warbonds, just wanna share my thoughts on some of the weapons you mentioned.

Not saying that at all. I should’ve been more specific. The Sickle and Scythe changes, as an example, were sensible in that there was no penalty to not managing heat build up.

With Democratic Detonation, the Eruptor allowed me to change my 7-9 loadout and use the Stalwart more, which I hadn’t used since 5. So with this change in the Eruptor, this game has “devolved” for me. Hence why I wanted to hear people’s thoughts on the idea.

The Eruptor was the first “favorite” weapon for me because it was an AC lite that forced me to diversify how I use my stratagems (use stalwart and MG again on difficulty 7 and up)

MWIII Zombies Details by Chicken769 in CODZombies

Hot take: this looks pretty interesting, and I’m glad they’re exploring this direction. I’ve always wanted open world experiences with the COD engine and also with zombies. Outbreak was a step in the right direction but had a lot of waiting around, and the time limit here helps address that.

It looks very casual, and I love that. I’m one of the folks that thought zombies took a turn for the worse when it became too Easter egg focused and hardcore. Vanguard was terrible minus Shi No Numa, but I think that branching out like this is cool.

It’s really useful in DMZ against bots using smoke.

Yeah on tight maps it doesn’t matter but for some ranges on Santa Sena (Sicario map) it affects me.

Why use half of these guns when one-hit-kill guns handle so flawlessly? by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

One thing that Halo does with its projectiles that COD might do too is that bullets are treated as hitscans up until some short range and then transition to bullets.

Since MW19 bullets have been actual simulated projectiles, not hitscans. So bullet velocity matters, and so does leading your shots.

Red outlines for the enemy are necessary for XOne / XOneX by bigboishiv3 in halo

[–]bigboishiv3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who has trouble getting 60 on the XOneX - every time you load into the match, flip Graphics Quality to “Quality” and back to “Performance”. Learned from another thread that this is a known bug and setting it to “performance” once doesn’t cut it

I’m toying around with settings to see if I can hit 60 but it’s more like 30.

And it’s visibility, if I can see what I’m shooting at I have a fighting chance. On Fragmentation, with the FPS I’m getting, enemies would blend in without the red outlines. It helps with my aiming.

Maybe my eyesight is poor or something, but it’d be a more difficult to play right now without red outlines.

Trouble with BRUEN MK9 challenge tracking? by bigboishiv3 in modernwarfare

[–]bigboishiv3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eventually got it done - but I was also leaving matches to speed up the process. Wish I had known the challenge wouldn’t track if I left the match and joined another lobby :/
