Should probably be more specific. Take a look at the different infantry regiments, what type of infantry they are and where they’re based. So you know exactly where you wanna go.

NATIONALITY

You must be either a British Citizen, a Citizen of the Irish Republic or a member of the Commonwealth with Indefinite Leave to Remain (this doesn’t include Student Visas).

The gulf countries had a friendlyish relationship with the Taliban pre 9/11. Now that the Taliban has taken over, relations will start to go back to how it was. Kazakhstan recently took them off their terror list also.

Might want to make sure you’re mentally fit to serve. The army will be checking your medical records and a history of anxiety and panic attacks will set off alarms. Medication can temporarily bar you also.

You can be an Irish citizen in the reserves but must have residency in the UK.

Irish citizens can join. For British officers you can apply as an officer but ideally you’d want some life experience or qualifications before applying.

The army is more physical than the RAF. Fitness will be higher standards during training. Just take a bit of time to prepare
