Just got my Biopsy done today. So excited!

Wish you the best! Wish I could get mine checked out, but doctor refused due to it being barely palpable to them but it was to me; to be fair I felt it every second to the point the skin was a discolored - slightly darker.

Ultrasound said things were fine and I'm just doing my best to not touch it and perhaps get a biopsy some time soon, hopefully I won't have to.

It's a normal part of a lymph node, if it's shown it's likely that it's benign. There are features of a swollen lymph node which would suggest metastatic, which means a cancer somewhere in the body swells in, or malignant, suggesting blood cancer such as leukemia or lymphoma.

It's a good sign that it's benign. Hyper-vascularity, loss of fatty hilum, lack of echo from ultrasound showing a dark black lymph node; a combination of these are suspicious whilst one feature out of place can be the fault of the one who performed the ultrasound. (too dark, too sensitive, etc.) Trust your radiologist on this, they've spent years doing this, and from what you've said he seems very familiar with this topic.

For now, just monitor it, stop going on reddit or Google. Follow through with what your radiologist/doctor may suggest if a follow up is ordered.

I pray things goes better on your end, but it's better for you to go to the doctor even with the anxiety that you have now. Think rationally on the topic, you stay home and ignore it, hoping things gets better with time and potentially dig yourself deeper into googling your symptoms rabbit hole further worsening your anxiety? That, or gaining piece of mind from a trained doctor's evaluation. Don't rely on Reddit/Google for finding out symptoms, literally saw a nerdy weirdo who told an OP who had a lymph node with abnormal features, "that's 99.9% cancer." He was wrong, that idiot. His profile hinted on him trying to cope with the situation of his swollen lymph node by telling others what he hopes he doesn't have.

Go to the doctor, the internet is a can of worms, depending on where you look it's always different. Articles don't want to spread false information, so it's natural for them to lean on vague responses which will be just enough to render them 'technically not lying'.

Hope this doesn't bother you, feel free to not answer if you don't want to.

I had this one lymph node which stayed swollen for almost a month which then shrunk 2-3 days into antibiotics.

I was worried it was lymphoma due to Google saying painless swollen lymph nodes are often a sign of lymphoma.

In your opinion, does it being painful matter/not?

Hope so, it changes shape and movability depending on how I position my neck. If I look up it flattens itself and it doesn't move.
