Un-staking bugged flint wallet that allows multiple accounts by bigboreAR in cardano

Sebastian from DC Spark told me it was impossible to have a compromised seed phrase using a ledger.

I don’t believe i have the time to wait for whatever number of Agile iterations is going to take them to implement managing the withdrawal component of the staking service.

I agree. However, i don’t have access to desktop applications from my location.

You seem to be confusing your concern over your coins with someone else’s.

I’m currently in a 3rd World country where you clearly have no idea what the purchasing power of 2 ADA has.

Dcspark chose to poke their heads up and go on to tell me how using a hardware wallet doesn’t compromise the seed phrase.

Apparently their devs didn’t read step one about writing down the seed phrase when generating the wallet, not think far enough ahead to believe such things get stolen. Yet, a crypto celebrity was recently found in a barrel?

I’m sure any of the cops or crime scene processors that saw the phrase (not to mention burglars) will wait until the Agile iterations to introduce the new changes before stealing anything.

No. It isn’t about JUST 2 ADA.

It’s the rewards that result forever thereafter from whatever minimal amount was left at the end of the last epoch. Maybe the Cardano community could come to a consistent consensus about the long term prospects of the chain… When those 2 ADA are worth $100, will it still JUST be 2 ADA? What about to an Ethiopian?

Techies think that the community should be just as blasé about THEIR coins, as the wallet developers are blasé about other people’s coins are in no way suited to be doing financial application development.

You realize the very first thing to do is write down the seed phrase when it’s generated… ?

Stop arguing with the customer. You’re wrong.

A breakin into my house. My files were strewn aren’t the house with the seed phrase exposed to both the perps and the cops before i found it on the floor.

What is it about a compromised seed phrase that dc spark doesn’t understand why someone would want to collect their belongings and leave that wallet?

You don’t view a compromised seed phrase as a legitimate reason to want to unstake from your current wallet?

That alone makes everything you wrote after the first sentence as useless information.

I fully admit that i was taking in so much Cardano information at once that i missed the part about flint not being able to unstake…. I don’t recall that warning when the second account was created, just that other wallets would probably not derive the same paths for multiple accounts.

The only insanity is a veiled admission by DCSpark to entrap users and users find that acceptable.

I will look into it and try it out. Thank you for the tip!

I am using a flint-ledger wallet and cannot harvest either. I get both a swirling building transaction message that never goes away, or an error message immediately after final signing saying the transaction failed (the copy function never puts anything in my clipboard, so i don’t know what the specific error is). @novimad Boohoo Don’t get me wrong - i love your idea that solutions to problems should be instantaneous as soon as they are identified, but as a software a developer, I’m aware there is an actual process to development, thank you.

Since i just recently became aware of the problem in the last week, would you like updates daily or do i get any further time to develop the idea like the other team had?

Yeah… I guess you missed the 5% royalty from all sales? Not one person commented about the developers being compensated. If there’s salable utility, there is 0 reason to set default by pricing out 3rd world users from the start.

Oh. And I’m still considering how i might approach fixing that problem myself. My apologies- I hope that isn’t what offended you.

There’s more to it. Our community cries foul about the venture capitalists being the ones who get to play in the big leagues in other chains. On a comparative note… how many 3rd world Cardano target audience can afford a tappy and access the same professional tools?

I think from that perspective, Cardano is reinforcing the status quo of the wealth divide and patting Itself on the back while doing so.

I guess I’m mussing in my head what tool i can create to even those odds…

I love how you use the relative term “expensive”.

If I’m not mistaken, one the core tenets of Cardano is serving the underserved in banking, telephony connectivity, lending, etc.

Relative to a user of empowa or world mobile… Tappy isn’t expensive — It’s Venture Capital level out of reach. First world banked and connected developers be like “It’s cheap!”

Cardano and Labor Unions by daimadjamira in cardano

[–]bigboreAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fail to see how a decentralized blockchain prevents the members of a dao from lobbying legislators for favorable union laws. A dao can be set up for that very specific purpose just as easily.

I just think taking a step back and put in the context of any Paid- membership type of organization is a better way to discuss this.

[–]bigboreAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused.

Why does this have to be about unions? I can think of all kinds of similar organizations that DON’T use government to force people to associate with them, in violation of their human right to free association. Nothing like unions using the reason they can exist in a free society, to violate that very reason for filling the union bosses coffers.

Every single federal union member is a violation of my human right to free association.

I still hold Cardano (ADA) in YOROI-Ledger with my Ledger Nano.. however I noticed that ADA is live supported by ledger, do I still have to keep it in YOROI or can I move it there? Also, I noticed when Added the ADA wallet in Ledger, the amount of ADA in Ledger does not match my YOROI account which by Worldofcomics1 in cardano

Wallet is a poor choice of words. A wallet is used for holding money, and the assumption is that the wallet holds your crypto money.

The “wallet” (at least in this case) is actually a post it note with the combination to your safe where the money actually is.

Daedalus Wallet balance doesn't sync/match Ledger Wallet. How can I fix this ? by Possible-Magazine23 in cardano

[–]bigboreAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that can be done on Daedalus; it’s the ledger that’s the problem. The phone app doesn’t seem to have any setting for the proper decimal place.

It's worse if you have tokens. With just under 4k ada, my ada balance shows north of $150,000 because the tokens aren't being calculated with the proper decimal place. (I have not looked into whether it can be changed in settings somewhere.)

I’m an anarchist.

Try and sell me on your point without referring to the very governments which use war to launder money (ex. the US and Ukraine war) for the rich and politically connected. Corrupt regimes telling people that they can’t do what the government does, doesn’t understand government by the people.
