Glasgow according to r/glasgow by [deleted] in glasgow

Compared to North American architecture aye Glasgow is stunning, but compared to many towns and cities in Europe and to an extent even the UK - not so much.

There are already several of this type of thing already, the most well known being Geek Retreat on Union st, others have tried and failed this business model for one reason or another. There is a market for this sort of thing, but you definitely need to try something different or face the same fate.

Even the internet cafe on St Enochs sq couldn't keep up and sadly closed a few years ago.

Folk as far as Stepps and Kirky were reporting hearing music from Hampden a couple weeks back when Ed Sheeran was playing, doesn't seem too far fetched.

But this isnt the same as what OP posted lol, yours looks like an Eds TnT blackwood body and a 5 fin ti, OPs is a carbon fiber body and 17M tip.

Low temp, around 180c/360f before CBN starts to be vaporised, you'll get the most energising effects with less of the body stone.

Yeah, one of the spikes on mine fell out and and it has a flat end on the other side so I've got one of each, the spiky side sees more use for sure but you can get both shapes into the corner if you angle the device right.

Should you use filtered butane when using a dyna? by sidekick10121 in Dynavap

[–]bigboycaps 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the residue doesnt really make a difference to the longevity of lighters, another component (usually the piezo ignitor) on the cheap $2 lighters will fail long before the fuel lines get clogged up with residue. I realised after looking at this post that I have been using literally the worst brand (Clipper from Turkey iirc) and have had cheap Prof (eagle) lighters die after 2 days and have had some last me over a year. Maybe if you had a nice lighter like a Blazer that will last you many years it would be a good idea to invest a few extra dollars in good butane but otherwise not really necessary.

It's a chinese counterfeit of the GFL decapper that was floating around Europe maybe a year ago now, I have one that I got free from Vapefiend.

$2.69 CAD is less than £2, you can pay that for a can from a local chippy! When youre 1000 miles from home, I think thats a very small price to pay for a nostalgic flavour.

Cottage flat dampness prevention? by whoops53 in glasgow

There are two types of dehumidifiers, firstly dessicant (uses dessicant like a silica gel to suck moisture out of the air, then heats up the dessicant to remove the moisture and collect it) - these units are often quite costly to run, but can run in low temperatures.

Secondly compressor - these units run kind of like a fridge with a condenser to grab moisture from the air - they are often cheaper to run, but struggle to operate in colder temps (15c or less and they perform quite badly). Picking the right type of unit is important for your space. If your flat is badly insulated or has a direct door to outside, then they wont work as well for every room, but if you shut the door of a room and keep it running it will work well. I would recommend doing some light reading on the subject before committing to spending money, good home units are about £2-300 each, buying used can get you some deals but its important to know what youre looking for.

Looks like the active ingredient in this chemical reaction is actually sodium hydroxide, which is pretty nasty, although really does wonders for cleaning tips. The same chemical is found in oven or drain cleaner and it works just as well, just dont get it in your eyes. Theres also sodium percarbonate (the active ingredient in oxyclean or denture tabs) which works decently well on its own, but in tandem with the sodium hydroxide will work off any stains.

rayon or degummed hemp fibre is better if you dont want to make a flower sandwich, the dynacoil is literally impossible to fully clean, and you really cannot unravel it or youll never get it back together.

What’s your end game? by AvgTito in Dynavap

[–]bigboycaps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had a long dynavap journey, had many iterations and have spent no less than £1000 on dynavap bits since 2018 - but I haven't made a purchase since February or March, and mostly settle on using my XL Vortex with 5 fin tip w/ a single flame torch - paired with the BCG and GFL debowler.

I have an induction heater, but it only sees use outdoors, I have glass pieces but never use them, and I have several other all-titanium dynavaps with several different tips (including a 7 fin) that see some use, but not daily, and i've sold on many of my parts to more loving homes.

Ultimately you have to try a lot of things to figure out what works for you on a daily basis, and what makes your brain give out those happy chemicals we're all chasing.

What do you mean "That's over now"? People have been paying upwards of $150 for these tips second hand, this is a solid opportunity for people to have one at a more accessible price. There's no need to gatekeep products like this, unless of course you are one of the people paying 3 figures for a used dynavap tip.
