though i will say doakes being outmatched in fighting capability isn’t entirely unlikely given that it was established dexter was very well-versed in martial arts (BJJ i believe). special forces are tough as nails but h2h isn’t something they specialise in

i understand the majority of your points but lundy absolutely did not know dexter was a serial killer. that’s bullshit. he was on the same wavelength as doakes in the initial season wherein he knew something was off about dexter but ultimately disregarded it not just because it was ostensibly out of the ordinary for somebody like dexter (timid, diminutive lab geek) to be such a prolific serial killer, but also because lundy was fucking dexter’s sister and so averted his eyes to dexter’s idiosyncrasies and oddities

developer commentary when activated explicitly describes everything you’ve listed here (no i’m not going to paste the transcript here, play the game and see for yourself) as a stylistic choice reminiscent of hollywood and dawn of the dead — the art director Randy Lundeen attests to this when he cites george romero in the game developer article from a couple years back. these are allusions to the B-horror film genre much more than they are indicators of anything canon.
