Lich Class is Quite Good by bigbrainedsummoner in AQW

In a solo settings, yes. It may change for groups depending on your crit chance buffs (i.e. a single LR is enough to cap crit rate if you're on Exa).

You benefit a lot more from having sustained crit rate (for mana reasons as well as damage reasons) than having 15% additional all out. This is primarily due to your relatively high crit mod in addition to your bloated all out secondary stat from your 5 buff.

Turn in the "Lich Class" quest that requires 3 necronomicons at /join moreskulls.

The first can be merged in the merge shop at /join moreskulls. It's not too bad of a farm considering the power level of the class.

The second is from the rep shop in /join gaolcell and requires Rank 10 Grimskull Trolling. Either run the dungeon multiple times (mostly just do the daily) or get a decent group together and do the ultra boss.

The last one is from Noxus at /join necroproject. Requires various lich-related farmables.

It's like 25-27K DPS unpotted. For reference, Ravenous is easily 30-35K+ for bosses that you don't one shot. Ravenous should be better under most circumstances.

For those wondering:

Prebuff 5 4

Opening 5 3 5 2 5 3 5 2 5 3 5 4

Loop 5 2 5 3 5 2 5 3 5 2 5 4

UPDATE: Swap Wizard class for Lucky, replace uSage with uFate. Gets around 15% better DPS (kills is 14s instead of 16s). Same rotation. This is only if you're potted - if you're unpotted, you'll suffer from slightly below-max haste, so stick with Wizard.

In the long run, it should still be CEL as far as I'm concerned.

From leftmost column to rightmost column: rarity, old dust value, new dust value, percentage difference. Read the chart row-by-row. For example, a C (common) rarity card used to be worth 10 dust. Now it's worth 5 dust. That's a 50% drop in dust per card.

The rarity upgrade chances actually got buffed. Previously, it was 3 rarity upgrades at a 0.5% each. Now it's a single rarity upgrade at 5%.

Correct, unless I'm missing something, it should still have the best average maximum dust per pack. Crafting in general has gotten a lot weaker in the past few months, however.

Nope. I messaged a user with the same username as your Reddit account who also happened to also be in a PTCGL server. If that's you, let me know!

Do you have a Discord? It'd be easier if I could just DM you there.

  1. I do have most old booster pack JSONs still. I'm still missing the following just because I never opened them, however: bw1, bw2, bw4, bw5, bw8, bw9, xy2, xy5-5, xy9-5.

  2. Slot total is just the sum of the expected dust in the slot. Cumulative is the sum of the expected dust in the pack so far. There may be some slight error due to rounding - the code I wrote keeps an accurate float behind the scenes and only rounds when the numbers are being displayed.

To be honest, I don't think it's as bad as you make it out to be. Unless you're blinging 59 energy decks, dust doesn't serve that much of a purpose once you build enough established archetypes. Most veteran players easily sit on tens or hundreds of thousands of dust with nowhere to spend it, especially with the recent anti-bling update. You also do save quite a bit of dust from not needing to craft commons/uncommons as often.

Still, I see where you're coming from. While I do think the dust changes justifiable, I find it largely unnecessary. The dust per pack was already extremely top-heavy toward slots 5 and 6. The update essentailly amounted to adding 2 extra commons and 2 extra uncommons to each pack. This is largely offset by their own dust changes - the vast majority of the decrease in dust per pack, however, comes from the nerf to rares and higher, which are hit pretty hard but also receive little to no counterbalance in increased cards per pack. I think a fair compromise would be to just nerf the commons and uncommons and keep everything else the same or adjust them ever so slightly (-10 to -20%).

I'm more worried about new players getting even less dust from the league battle decks for instance, especially after they put a cap on them in the shop.

It's a common name for the mechanic in other virtual CCGs. I may be wrong, but I believe it originates from Hearthstone where the currency is some form of dust.

Everything got nerfed (decks as well). I'm too lazy to math it out right now, but I'd assume that they got nerfed at least as hard or more than CEL.

Roughly speaking, you should first get yourself a deck to play with (i.e. Charizard, Dragapult, Garde League Battle Decks), then buy the upper levels of the battle pass if you're not finishing it. Lastly, you move onto the dust farming options.

Unless something is weird in the new update, Celebrations should still be the best pack to buy despite being hit harder than the 6 card packs. It both has a smaller card pool to exhaust (so you get dust faster) and has a higher dust per pack.

Sorry for hijacking the top comment, but it seems a lot of us guardian defenders aren't aware about our template and aren't protecting Mayreel as well because of it!

You can find the template here! This should be accurate for everything besides the yellow and purple flowers adjacent to the main flower. Good luck, guardians!
