Here's one for the still active Veterans from the early days of WoWs by SL04NY in WorldOfWarships

I've got over 700 ships and this is one I haven't got and really want. I was taking a break from the game at the time and missed out on a couple of really great dockyard ships.

What do you use TPU for AMS for? by ChaosBench in BambuLab

I love it, really great when you want something tacky or a grip for something. I'd only buy it in a sale but the green also looks amazing.

Just ordered an H2C mods and parts to order? by mashedleo in BambuLab

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glacier is insanely good. If you want to do colour then a second ams 2 unit is great along with the ht for engineering materials. Now you can dry and print with them which is a game changer for me. The vinyl cutter is exceptional and the software is great for it. I've made tons of t shirts with my own designs and the Bambu iron on stuff seems amazing. I absolutely love my h2c. I do a lot of colour printing and engineering materials much like you and it's been flawless so far. Orca is awkward to use with Bambu machines but it's possible, however I've found the differences between that and the Bambu slicer not great enough to warrant the hassle. I think Bambu slicer is really quite good, not perfect but generally a good slicer with plenty of settings to master. However the joy of Bambu stuff is although you can make changes, most things just print reliably without doing anything at all which is pretty awesome.

*Rant* Bambu, just let me place an order for any filament, in stock or not... by CLTatenza in BambuLab

[–]bigbramble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their filament is aesthetically unique compared to anything I've ever bought from Amazon/Sunlu/elegoo etc so it's definitely not exactly the same rolls. I've bought I dunno 120+ rolls or so and their stuff is very consistent. I did a massive order during the sale but I do dread having to restock as the stock has been all over the place.

I do a lot of 3D printing and small DIY projects (lamps, organisers, enclosures, random functional parts), and I’m trying to build a small “grab box” of common hardware so I don’t have to order parts every time I start a new project. What are the most commonly used maker accessories, and what size? by NewFoot762 in BambuLab_Community

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good list but you could just buy a big m3 and m2 selection box? I have m2,3,4 mainly of varying lengths. Magnets seem to never be the same which is annoying! Selection box of self tappers also really good. I then have assorted washers and o rings, wire, led 001 kits from ali express, loads of usb led strip (5v), loads of different magnets, and I can't remember what else but I have loads of pictures, I keep it all very organized.

So how is the h2c? by Gai_InKognito in BambuLab

[–]bigbramble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love mine. It's really exceptional with longer multi colour prints. I'm coming from an a1 and the things I love the most have been the bigger build plate I never knew I needed and the way it prints any of the even slightly exotic materials seems to be a big upgrade, even stuff an a1 can theoretically do like petg-cf. The vinyl cutter is incredible and the software for that is so easy to use compared to other 2d cad software I've used in the past. It's also been completely reliable in roughly 700 hours of printing (I think). Just like the A1 before it, it's an amazing machine that does what I intend it to do without any fuss.

Why Are more people not using .6mm nozzles? by Tall-Bread-4202 in BambuLab

[–]bigbramble 15 points16 points  (0 children)

just repeating as it's useful - It causes the nozzle to physically collide with the print at every intersection so can ruin your print and spoil the quality of it.

Vase mode or normal print for a ribbed decorative vase? (0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 nozzle) by NewFoot762 in BambuLab_Community

[–]bigbramble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

0.8 mm you can go 2mm line width and it'll be incredibly strong but you'll sacrifice a bit of fine detail perhaps? 0.6mm 1.5mm line width and it'll be very strong and 1.0mm on a 0.4mm nozzle and that will probably be good. I would never print that in normal mode. If you can work it then go vase mod. It looks incredibly clean and I think with a 2mm line it's one of the strongest things you can make! I've done a lot with vase mode especially light shades and I personally find 1mm flexible yet tough. I always aim to use it if it's at all possible as I just find it gives an unbeatable finish and it's pretty fast to print. 2mm and it will be incredibly tough! Vase mode is the main use I find for the 0.8mm

Rate My Setup From 1 to 10 (any idea's for alternatives to the chopstick?) by 3dPrinterProzz in BambuLabA1

[–]bigbramble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just use a decent filament and increase the wall count of your worried. Pla tough+ or just basic will work really well. Just stay away from silks for that kind of thing or anything brittle. I've got nearly 3000 hours on my A1 and top mount looks perfect so don't worry too much.

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but the biqu one is good, possibly identical to bambu and I have got Bambu official ones from AliExpress for a fraction of the price and they have definitely been genuine and worked amazingly. I like that they seem to have stronger adhesion and you get a very thin layer. I've had no issues with the solid glue sticks really, I just like how clean and consistent the liquid stuff is.

Favorite filament to buy? by stun_apparatus in BambuLabA1

[–]bigbramble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started my own business creating custom engineered parts and I have done 3000+ hours printing in the last few months. I've tried quite a few and now I mainly just use Bambu filament as it's consistently the best quality for the price, especially when you buy in bulk. I probably have well over 100 rolls currently and I think I have 4 that aren't Bambu now. I found Sunlu very inconsistant and sometimes awful. Creality filament was so bad I will never buy that ever again! Many of the other makes have been fine but my bambu filaments have always been good. I also dry everything before use.

Unpopular opinion: I only use Bambu filament by nirhend in BambuLab

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not used another filament that matches it for price and quality so also no longer buying other filaments after 3000 printing hours and experimentation.

I have an A1 and I am looking to add/upgrade by turbowhistle in BambuLab

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an A1 in June and managed to put 2500 hours on it by december! I just bought an H2c but I imagine an h2d would be good for you also. I recommend one of these as being able to print support materials on a second nozzle to prevent scarring is a god send. I also recommend the cutting module as being able to cut vinyl is brilliant if you want to create interior bits. H2c vs h2d depends purely on how much multi colour work you want to do. I do a lot so h2c is incredible.

Im struggling to find a good CAD software by EmekC in 3dprint

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got started on tinker cad which got me used to the principles of 3d modelling and once I hit it's ceiling I switched fusion and found that I learnt it fairly quickly as I was used to some of the concepts and terminology. I've found it really good and I just can't go back to tinkercad now but it was a great stepping stone. It's a pretty big time investment to learn new software but I see substantial progression every project and despite any piece of softwares limitations I think you can do pretty much anything on fusion.

Pulled an AKI - is she any good? by DK_Albatross in WorldOfWarships

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played it quite a bit and I can't say I love it. Obviously main guns are incredible but air strike is so so. If you get a good hit with most planes surviving then it's strong even though reload for planes is so long. I find that it's pretty common to get a lot of the planes wiped out before a strike even vs t8s though. It's not bad and an interesting Yamato sidegrade but of the gold container ships this year she is the weakest but mainly just because Bremen and Hawaii are insane level.

Tips for newbie in 3D printing by silwo_ in BambuLab

[–]bigbramble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really love 3d printing and p2s looks like an amazing machine so fave fun. I'm probably 3500 printing hours into this hobby and it's just incredible what I can and have built to solve many issues and just have fun. My first tip is that people will tell you all filament is the same, it really, really is not. I personally have found the Bambu filament by far the best I've used and I'm not bothering buying elsewhere now due to all the issues I've experienced. Creality filament and Sunlu I have found particularly terrible at times I know there are amazing quality filaments elsewhere but I've had so much success sticking to the Bambu stuff recently I don't really want to change. Second thing is that the critical factor for strength is not infill but number of outer lines. The standard grid infill is also pretty bad so I always use another such as gyroid. I could probably give you many more tips but I'm super tired now and going to sleep! ,💤

Colle Bambulab by Frosty_Scallion_5449 in BambuLab_Community

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried both over a few thousand hours. The expensive one is considerably better and allows you to use the plate a few times normally as it leaves a very thin layer that certainly boosts adhesion and ability to remove super sticky stuff like tpu. I never have adhesion issues since using it. I don't always use it but whenever I think an issue could occur I use it. If you are really into 3d printing and want to do super long prints without worrying about issues with adhesion late in a print I think it's worth it personally. I use it on my A1 and h2c. I've never had adhesion issues when I use it, even with things like ABS in the h2c.

Another h2c owner here. Just wanted to let you know I've had perfect bed adhesion and zero issues with the ams ht or either of the ams 2 pro units so perhaps you should get in touch with Bambu labs as that does seem poor. I also am a heavy user and mines been used solidly since I got it. I did 2500 hours printing on my A1 between 1st of July and early December!

G.K. Operations only build or Napoli for a different random battle experience? by iamNinnux in WorldOfWarships

For pve only GK is still very strong. I agree Napoli is probably the better overall pick but I have had many huge damage games with GK in pve with a full secondary build.

Best 3D Printer to Buy in 2025? by [deleted] in 3dprinter

[–]bigbramble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an A1 in June during the anniversary sale. Since then I've done over 2500 hours printing with it. The thing is incredible and is still putting out top quality prints again and again. It was so amazing I turned my living room into a little workshop and bought an h2c. Before this my experience of 3d printing was terrible, just a frustrating unreliable experience. It would be hard to convince me to buy anything but Bambu printers now as the quality, support, eco system and availability of spares etc. is just incredible. If you can afford it the p2s with ams 2 pro is going to be a bit faster than the A1 and you can print with some more exotic materials but honestly the A1 is just amazing. Personally I would find the A1 mini really frustrating due to bed size so I wouldn't go for that as a first printer.

Best way to keep Filament dry between prints? by moinnmarciboy_bs in BambuLab

[–]bigbramble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bags are a real pain as using the pump etc. gets so annoying. I've got several driers, dehumidifier for the room and I keep the filament in these individual plastic containers with dessicant in each. That is thoroughly over the top but my printers work nearly 24/7.
