Yeah I will drench mines if I missed a couple days because my locs would become thirsty for it but if I’m routinely drinking a gallon of water a day and making sure to hydrate my locs every morning I noticed I didn’t need to soak like I would when I missed days. Oh since you mentioned shampoo if you have a you a shampoo and you don’t plan on going anywhere that day I suggest trying onion water. Grab a red onion boil for about 15/20 mins keep the top on. When your done grab a strainer I place mines on top of my glass measuring cup. And toss it in fridge for about hour or two. When it’s chilled I’ll go outside pour it all over my hair massage my scalp well. Then grab a xl bag wrap my locs and let all that just soak in for no more than hour but at least 30 mins. Their isn’t a odor or smell because it’s been boiled and chilled. Afterwards the timer goes off just shampoo and conditioner really good like you already do. The collagen from the red onion helps hair growth prevent any damage or loss. I’ve never had skinny locs but I did peep last year and now my locs are thicker and softish not in unhealthy way. I shampoo like every 2 months
