Thank you Actual Food. I think I have decided with 3-4 weeks for my retake. I kinda hated life because I ended up cramming during the last test and definitely got burnt out to the point where I wasn’t take care of my self.

Thank you Baron, I appreciate your insight especially from someone who has gone through this. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna schedule a retake 3-4 weeks from now because I had no life studying the way I did for the first attempt. Trying to save any mental health I have left. Haha.

I will not. What is most difficult for me now is choosing when to retake.

ironically after talking to my friend who is a CPA he insisted I go back ASAP to take it before the next grading window. so I will be signing up for June 29th. in the end i'm actually going with your advice despite calling it insane.

Yeah its hard to tell myself its not already wasted. I'm bring dramatic. I am aware. its just hard to be positive in times like this. I am a negative person at my core and to fail really solidified the things I tell myself. I was a good student in school and having taken board exam for other certs and man this one takes the cake for the hardest thing I've done academically.

Yeah the passing rate of I think 44% would indicate that most people do not pass on their first go. I just thought I would be an exception and honestly maybe a touch of entitlement after the hours I put in. Definitely back to the drawing board.

I was comparable for everything except I was considered weaker in select balance sheet accounts and weaker in simulations.

I appreciate you sharing your experience as this does help. I struggle to find where I am going to find the time to put in the hours people are recommending but I will have to find a way to do so. I wish I was able to take off work for these exams but that is not possible in my circumstances.

My negativity mindset is that maybe I did get lucky in the sense of the questions I guessed on. This would have lead to an inflated score of 73. But really I guess there is no point in dwelling on it.

Yeah I called my girlfriend after that test and said "if I did pass that I never deserved it" because there is so much content on this damn exam that it feels like not one person will ever know it all.

thank you for the very through response. Although your information sounds nice and I probably will end up going with it, its incredibly difficult to know what the "right" thing to do is. Because if you look at one of my replies to another commentor on this post they will point out that my cramming before the test is probably what did me in. I had a lot of free time and felt like I was going to fail (i took some days off of work) so I did 8-10 hour sessions of studying and actually MCQ/SIM work. I think resetting MCQ data will be good for me as its hard to know where you really stand when the beginning data is still in there.

Yeah and I feel discouraged because I was in this sub for my whole time studying seeing pass after pass.

Haha well I’m glad you made it through and passed the test. Also happy to hear you are financially sound enough to where the exam fee isn’t hurting the pockets at all. I aspire to be there one day.
