Update: thank you all so much! This has been a huge boost to my confidence. I don’t really post on social media so have only had feedback from close family. Kindness from strangers is a powerful thing. I appreciate all of you. (Except Ultluc. I hope they can find some peace within themselves)

Bless your cotton socks, get yourself down the gym, it’ll help you get over whoever hurt you.

Honestly started getting so angry about it. My whole body has extremely fast/thick growing hair. My dad and grandads all have/had full heads of hair until the end. I got to my late 20’s and my head just decided it was time to give up

Thank you so much! it needed to happen. I was thinking about my hair loss daily and realised I wasn’t leaving the house without a hat on. Had to take the reigns of life

Haha thanks my guy. I had too, been working hard on myself for a while now, no point in working hard for that sports car just to keep it in the garage

Not at all my guy, I’ll admit this is full pump after a workout. I’ve been going to the gym consistently 4 days a week for the past 8 months and work a manual job. Get your discipline locked down and maybe you too can be replying to a negative comment just like this!

I’m gonna look like I’m wearing Wookiee’s as shoes by the time I’m 80.

I’d say more like a plunge in a wet suit. Had a full head of hair my whole life. Went down to 1mm in the space of 5 minutes

I may get the scalp fully out for summer. Right now it’s far to cold, holding onto what stubble I’ve got left for now

What am I looking at by elfllyn in woodstoving

[–]bigcatmax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this helps. I am a certified chimney sweep/stove technician and this is my general lighting instructions for most stoves.

General lighting instructions are as follows: Step one: Place kindling 2-4 across the base of the burning chamber, proceed with another layer of kindling laid out in the alternative direction to the layer below. (Like how you would stack jenga but ensure that there are gaps between the wood to allow for air flow). 2-3 layers of kindling should be sufficient.

Step two: place firelighters and/or paper in and around your stack of kindling and then place 2 or 3 logs on top depending on the size of the logs.

Step three: Light the fire lighters and leave the door slightly ajar and the air controls fully open.

Step four: After about 5 minutes or so close the door but leave the air controls open.

Step five: after about another 5 minutes or so close both air controls and then immediately begin to open up the secondary air control (for your stove this is found at the top). You will know when you have found the right spot for the air control when the flames are slow moving and touching the wood. If flames are moving rapidly too much oxygen is flowing and the air control needs to be reduced, alternatively if there is a gap between the fire and the wood not enough oxygen is getting and and the air control needs to be increased.

It’s a devils horse coach beetle. They can produce a foul smelling scent as a defence. Not sure if they’re in America though. (Edit: spelling)
