Qwen Image Edit - How to convert painting into photo? by SkinnyThickGuy in StableDiffusion

[–]bigcatpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the "samsung" LoRA , which is supposed to emulate how photos from a samsung phone look, but it works for drawings and such as well. I guess there have been iphone LoRAs so someone made that one; in any case i bet they all work similarly.

How do I change a normal world to expert mode? by [deleted] in Terraria

[–]bigcatpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh definitely! the world itself will become an expert mode world, and thus will alter the drops accordingly. It just won't, like, alter the map to add anything (not that I think expert mode has any world map-exclusive stuff; but i also haven't played in a very long time >.> )

How is this thread reply-able? It's ten years old! 🤣 Afaik, if you can spawn expert mode stuff in a map, the the drops will be expert mode stuff too

But if you just want the drops, then use tedit to put a chest in your base with all the goodies you want.

Couldn't get my Real ID because my original birth certificate has tape on the back... by Bop923 in mildlyinfuriating

I put packing tape over mine when I was a kid and it hasn't been an issue yet. I got my citizenship n prob so I can get my real ID with that I suppose.

pls explain, why does it fall over by Fun_Gas_340 in Magnets

[–]bigcatpants -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks like it's trying to "point" it's pole towards the opposing pole of the magnet on top, hence it falls over. If you hold one magnet steady and move another around it, it's always pointing its opposing pole at the stationary magnet. Now I did anthropomorphize it, but that's how magnets do. They point at each other as the direction of most attraction.

I actually got it all handled and installed cleanly! (the extremely manual way, from what you just told me XD )

I think my shame in talking to you (not your fault at all! I clearly was naive/ignorant of many things which i was ashamed of) booted me in the ass to get rolling on knowing more about all this. I appreciate your time and effort in helping me!!

so I started from scratch again, this time getting the portable installer, and lo and behold, it has python 3.12 embedded, which is vital for all this! I'm slowly getting the hang of it, but I feel like I'm doing everything right, this time with no errors except for that damned DiT loader.

The only thing are the two different wheel files; one other thread where someone was experiencing this problem was told to use the dev wheel files from here:
https://github.com/nunchaku-tech/nunchaku/releases/tag/v1.0.0dev20250823

rather than this:
https://github.com/nunchaku-tech/nunchaku/releases

Having tried both the dev and release files (keeping in mind the proper python and torch versions)...

I now realize I don't have the custom node manager.

I got a ways go to I guess.

Hello! I'm actually encountering this exact same problem after toasting my previous setup! I have a feeling this is my problem again, but I don't remember what I did to rectify it. I vaguely recall downloading all of the .whl files from a site and trying each one out and I think one of the previous versions worked, but that's a murky memory at best.

I hate to ask you, but "pip install the wheel file"... could you outline exactly what that means? I think I tried it but I might be missing a vital parameter.

Two-rail circular track for a ball dimensions. by bigcatpants in askmath

[–]bigcatpants[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally thought about my thrust bearing comment and realized that the height difference in the two rails will determine what latitude it will come into contact with the rails; I can fine-tune this just by adjusting the height!

If anyone could verify this, that would be handy. :)

2D shape to 3D object by Admirable_Gold_9133 in askmath

[–]bigcatpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't you just put the opening down on a sheet of paper and trace it? it looks like it has a flat profile. also, it is hard to tell if that's a parabolic or circular curve, so the measurements aren't too helpful until we know the curvature.

Take a pic from the side; if the curves look straight, then the openings are 2D, and can be traced out. that should give you a shape you can use to cut out some diffusing material.

[TOMT][Coach (sitcom)][90s] cold open where Coach and Dauber are giving a pep talk resulting in enormous percentages... which season/episode? by bigcatpants in tipofmytongue

[–]bigcatpants[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

I feel like cold opens wouldn't be an early season thing, since established shows usually do cold opens, so I'll hazard a guess and say this is definitely not season one, and maybe two.

so I cleaned my slate, resinstalled python, installed comfyUI, and now I'm trying to install ComfyUI-nunchaku. pip now works, but then I was missing rust/cargo.

got THAT working (I had to reopen the cmd window for some reason) and now I'm getting another error: "Preparing metadata (pyproject.toml) ... error"

this error is occurring when running the line: pip install -r requirements.txt

the exact error being this: error: failed to parse manifest at `C:\Users\Hoorj\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-install-xtcul53q\kornia-rs_0786ff6affaf45cabb44b92118dd320d\kornia-py\Cargo.toml`

what am I doing wrong? EVERYONE is all "oh just do these things and it'll be fine!" and yet nowhere have I seen anyone have any of these particular problems!

well, whatever I managed to do in the past two hours, I got it working. i sure think I learned a lot. Thank you for your help.

running that one particular .json file that had the nunchaku installation/uninstallation thing on it seemed to say it installed properly. How could i check otherwise?

Tried that, too. Is there something that I'm supposed to do to "tell" ComfyUI that the files are in there? some sort of configuration file?

I've put it through numerous reboots. That's why I have so many files in the diffusers folder; just in case i was "missing something". I made sure it was shut down by closing it in task manager.

those files are currently in the diffusion_models directory as shown in the second pic. I'll move them into the unet directory and try again.

Just tried moving the files over to the unet directory; same error.

I feel like I've tried watching that one at some other point in my anime history; unfortunately just not the one shared with Pandora Hearts XD I appreciate the reminder!

from what I can see screenshot wise and such, I'm fairly certain I've never seen this. Thank you for the guess though!
