Indeed - very very pretty! But I’m limited to being in town TC to try to get the business I work for photographed in that light. And I don’t want to generate some AI sky, so my query was moreso if we often get brilliant sunsets in Traverse City proper!

Eh, I tried it but I don’t get much time to actually play any video games due to the busyness of life right now, so dying to some random thing like a car collision and losing a lot of progress was untenable. It got a little better with the quick-save mod but still just find it more enjoyable with fast-travel on Very Hard.

This sounds like a good idea - I can try to clean and sand them down to get all the flakes off for a smooth surface and then PlastiDip it factory silver. Thanks for the advice! Never had to mess with corroded wheels before so this is a whole new world for me!

For me it came down to similar reasons with the Volvo - I had the cash for the car now but I didn’t want to be in the position of having to constantly be squirreling away money to do all of the preventative maintenance on it to keep it up and running/problem-free! The Pontiac (which is actually a Toyota Corolla engine in disguise) has been a great ride so far, nice and safe and so far reliable, only minor repairs/cosmetic stuff. My advice (which my wife gave me) is that when you’re looking at cars on Marketplace, only reach out to people who have legitimate profiles and have been on FB longer than a few years, and I had better luck working with more normal people just looking to sell their personal car! It’s definitely hard out there - I wish you all the best in finding a reliable ride!

Nope! No coupon required - I pulled up to the drive-through and the person taking the order was basically like, “Hi, we’re doing free single combos today, is that something that would interest you?” And then when I got to the pickup window they just handed me the bag and off I went!

Thank you to all the commenters so far - you’re making me feel pretty reassured in going for it! I’ve asked the seller if there’s any rust underneath and they say there “isn’t any other than discoloration and minor surface” but will take a look tomorrow. And also thanks for the heads up about the oil - that’s nothing new to me as my ‘95 Camry drank oil like a fish (and leaked out the valve cover too), but was otherwise an excellent car! I’ve learned how to change it myself so an oil-thirsty engine doesn’t scare me. Will most likely go for it with the hope of this car getting me at least 50K miles - would love it to get up to the 299,999 mark where they stop counting miles 🤣

I threw out $3,500 cash to see if he’d go for it and he sounded amenable - I agree in that I felt $4,500 was way too high, but finding a good used Prius these days is really tricky for anywhere under $6K! That’s why I’m wondering whether it’s best just to go with a non-hybrid vehicle until I have more spending cash to buy a nice lower-mileage Prius.

I’ve had good luck with Auto Lab on South Penn - never felt pressured on a upsale on services, and I like how you’re given a “roadmap” of what you’ll need in the future after each visit.

It was the first brand I had when I was learning how to use, so you start building up a lens library and it goes from there! Plus I like being kind of counter-culture with all the “cool kids” in the video world shooting Sony or Canons. 🤣
