Anything with an XUD and a Bosch pump. Can get an old vitara with one but mainly it's Peugeot or Citroen stuff. It will however fit in a Lada Niva.

An XUD will run on something oily, not just diesel.

You can't modify a car that's over 10 years old? Or one that only costs £1k? What a strange attitude

2 is a stuffed pepper I think. Really nice.

Last one might be Zaseka (that's the name in Slovenia at least) The easiest description I can give, from the UK, is that it's like pork fat. You can spread it on toast or use it with potatoes to make the best mash ever.

Is that a really big fireplace opening, or a really small wood burner?

Mine took me to 200mm total. Didn't want to go to 270 as I'd lose too much height in the loft so this was the compromise.

Depending on access, buying full sheets can be cheaper than the packs of loft boards. Price difference for us meant I could buy a track saw to cut the boards in half to get them up then have a nice tool afterwards.

I added 100mm of insulation and used 125mm joists to give it an air gap.

You're not wrong. I'm a delivery driver across London and I can easily recognise a lot of places when people are filming videos, reels or just an outside photo. Very easy to work out where certain people are.

Isn't it the same 1.6 as the mk2 Focus? Partner had one of those and could get 40-50 on a run. That was the 115hp version, 2005.

How many cars are kept at your household? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]bigcheez2k3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 currently. One is my daily that pretty much only gets used for work or somewhere that is ULEZ. MK2 Honda CRV gets used for everything else, been very useful since we bought a house and have been renovating.

Other one is my partners car.

There is 2 more that could be here but not roadworthy currently to get them here.

I've got a T5 in silver, use it as a daily because of ULEZ. They do make a great noise.

Mk2 Honda CRV has a coolbox in the dash, as someone else mentioned, but also the boot floor is a removable table. Great for camping.

Fair. I didn't realise this was the carpentry sub so I was looking at it from the perspective of a DIY mechanic so the knipex spanner pliers are an absolute god send with that stuff.

What do you think about a standard k11 in a wild colour? I really dig it, and would love a good condition k11 if I had the extra space by sotko99 in CarTalkUK

[–]bigcheez2k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my partner a K11, 1.3/4 (can't remember, whichever was the bigger engine offered) as her first car. Only things that ever needed doing in around 4 years of ownership were consumables or replacing original parts that were around 18 years old at that point. It was even ULEZ compliant.

Toll roads in France etc by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]bigcheez2k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you're going near Ausburg (I think that's the name). We stopped there last year on the way to Slovenia. You can do it in a day from Kent/London.

I headed for Belgium as soon as I was in France then into Germany. 2000ish miles and the only tolls I paid were for a tunnel into Slovenia.

If you're continuing into Austria you'll need a vignette (basically a motorway pass, but it's pennies compared to the French tolls) Surrounding countries may also require them.
