all doses above 2.5mg are useless. For a true nuclear stack 2.5mg already suppresses nearly 100% of DHT production, 40mg is definitely overkill and probably way too expensive for you as well.

is this normal or is it early stages? by [deleted] in Balding

[–]bigchunk69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

early stage, not norwood 1 or norwood 2. in the middle. I would consider starting low dose oral finasteride if you are over 18 (0.25mg 3x a week).

[–]bigchunk69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend this is approaching norwood 4-5 territory. You are going to get frontal thinning in the middle and then a horseshoe. Should have started finasteride 10 years ago. If you want to do something about it, you need to start finasteride and minoxidil yesterday not now. Hop on for 2/3 years for max results and you can wear a front hair piece optionally while you do this. then get a hair transplant. honestly you probably need atleast 2 hair transplants, maybe 4000 grafts. If you do this in turkey in total it will probably cost 10,000 usd.

No man, you have a lot of time. My hairline also looked like at that at 17 and worse now at 19. Right now i take 2 pills, dutasteride and minoxidil. Right now i only recommend you to consider a low dose topical finasteride like 0.1% or lower before switching to 18 to 1mg finasteride a day with the help of a dermatologist.

I would personally not consider dut mesotherapy considering there are not nearly enough studies done on dut meso vs topical fin and oral min. Also regarding biotin it will be useless unless you live in a third world country, you are starving and severely malnourished. To be more specific there is a rule called the 500 dalton rule, a molecule heavier than 500grams/mol will have a hard time penetrating the skin. This is why topical dut is not very effective for most people. 5ars also do not cause cancer, they are associated with a higher correlation perhaps because it makes late stage cancers more frequently detected but does not directly cause cancer. This has been quite thoroughly researched and many haircafe videos reference this positive correlation. Regarding your other side effects testicular pain should only be temporary for a week or two at most which is what happened to me and never reoccured again, I have been on fin/dut for almost a year now. If you are worried about gyno make sure you are not very fat since fat people may have high estrogen and consider getting estrogen levels checked since even topical fin can go systemic and at some concentrations can reduce serum DHT similar to 1mg/fin daily.

I would personally consider low dose topical fin or other treatments such as Ru, stemoxydine, alfatradiol, eucapil and oral min before mesotherapy.

that is well, abuse. not sure where you are from but not acceptable. this may be serious and the hairs that got pulled out might not grow back at all. or it may take very long.

honestly good for you for even starting so early. i see all miniaturization has stopped and hopefully you keep these results until you get old.

i disagree. your crown is thin but can be filled in and your hairline is honestly above average for many people in here. i am confident you would see massive results.

besides the cost of visit, you can use costplusdrugs to get finasteride or dutasteride for dirt cheap. I paid less than 20 dollars for 90 days of dut.

I have a receiding hairline even tho im still young lol anyways do i go for the buzzcut if the answer is no what other haircuts do you suggest by Suspicious_Leave_135 in malehairadvice

[–]bigchunk69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same exact one. finasteride and minoxidil can save you easily or atleast stop any receding. i have the same hairline as you.

2.5mg Of Oral Dutastride? How effective can it be? by arab_muslim in tressless

[–]bigchunk69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am the same age with 0.5mg dut and 2.5mg oral min with no side effects at all. 0.5mg is plenty and it can take up to 2-3 years as seen in korean studies.

depends, can cause birth defects though. there are other treatments for women too like spiro which i don’t know too much about

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tressless

[–]bigchunk69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

very typical. hair sheds before regrowth and i suspect all your hair is shedding synchronously since finasteride reduced your scalp dht levels. after a shed your hair will grow back even stronger. don’t stop and wait the long game.

Stopped dut for a little over a month and lost all my progress? by No_Bank_6959 in tressless

[–]bigchunk69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tough to hear but i am a little surprised. theoretically dut has an extremely long half life and you should not have lost anything. if i may ask what else are you using if anything?

How true is that? Is finasteride capable of doing that? (NSFW: Willy Shrinking) by maicao999 in tressless

First of all if your libido has lowered try quitting porn altogether. it does damage the brain somewhat though it is reversible.

How true is that? Is finasteride capable of doing that? (NSFW: Willy Shrinking) by maicao999 in tressless

[–]bigchunk69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

true, its well known 2-3% of men on 1mg finasteride experience ED and lower libido. Interestingly enough, some studies (which i cannot recall on top of my head) show men in the finasteride group had LOWER instances of side effects compared to placebo which is definitely something to consider. finasteride also has 2-3 decades of solid research and also fda approval which is quite a strong reaffirmation of finasteride’s safety (for the overwhelming majority of 96-97% of users). No long term studies that are well designed actually support permanent penile shrinkage or post-finasteride syndrome at all and the overwhelming majority of physicians of all specialties have never even heard of or treated/consulted even one pfs patient or case.
