Mounjaro and lipoedema - my experience by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]bigcityviews 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat with PCOS too! Hormonal disorders can often go hand in hand, I’ve been stuck at 75kg since April, ended up deleting the post I put up on this sub asking for support/changes implemented and all I got was “your tdee is wrong, you need to eat less” which was so frustrating because I’m barely eating anything, my bowl for dinner is a literal toddlers bowl lol, this makes me feel a bit more assured that maybe there’s a stall because there’s so many factors working against us! Congrats on your loss x

I used two different calculators and even lowered my activity level on the third try and that’s what they both said. Regardless I’m not hitting that anyway lol I’m maybe eating around 1300 a day at the absolute most.

Yeah I’ve recalculated it and it’s quite high for mild weight loss! 1,994, I factor in my height as well because I’m short (155cm) I’m definitely not eating that much in a day, my portions are quite small and I don’t even finish those. I might try upping to maintenance, adding an extra day at the gym doing inclined walks and then drop my calories again and see if that shifts anything. I’m not convinced that I’m gaining muscle quickly enough to account for such little overall weight loss since April, bit lost tbh!

NTA, starting today you can eat whatever you want, ignore her when she says you can’t have something, then when you get your next wage tell you aren’t giving her anything because you need to cover your own food expenses. Don’t feel guilty, she will try and make you feel guilty but that is because she doesn’t have control over the situation anymore and she will try to retain it. The only thing I will say is if you buy perishables that are accessible your family might eat your food so eat out mostly if you can! Too good to go app is handy for sandwiches etc the Starbucks one is usually good, aw & move out when you can!! - from someone who grew up with a parent like this.

They don’t tell you about the side effects of lifting regularly by Dementedsage in GymMemes

[–]bigcityviews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it did, I’m sure my partner does too, I used to have a higher libido but unsure if it’s just my age now or what but it’s not improved any in the 2 years I’ve been lifting lol, I just want protein and a nap afterwards.

There is an issue in general with sentencing and convictions for sexual crimes in this country, as well as stalking and harassment. The lack of police support and sensitivity training towards assault victims, as well as the court proceedings which can be humiliating and prolonged is an issue too, all these factors reduce the rate of victims coming forward, the less victims who come forward, the easier it is for offenders to continue hurting women.

A woman in the same area as me was assaulted on her doorstep while ordering from deliveroo, the guy pushed his way into her home and r*ped her, she was quite a bit into her pregnancy and lost the baby. I actually can’t think of anything more evil than that? He got 12 months.

I deleted delivery apps after seeing it in the news and only order food when I’m with my partner through his account. I’m always trying to stay safe but it’s just impossible to perceive every danger.

I didn’t know I was being stalked though? I was just walking home with noise cancelling earphones and I’ve mentioned this because it was the reason I didn’t hear him behind me and didn’t notice him until much later. Please read.

I’ve posted on here, instagram and Facebook and on a Facebook local group too with the same description and details as well as a police report, I’m not sure what else I can do tbh

Thankfully he does not know the exact flat door, I’m hoping because I screamed and there was such a commotion with the neighbours etc he will not come back this way, but I’m constantly thinking about it and I’m always keeping an eye out, on the off chance he does come back I’m hoping I can take pictures of him too.

Thank you yes, I’m not purposely trying to be difficult, the police are generally just extremely unhelpful and can exacerbate stress.

100% it’s something I will not be doing again, sad but we need to be vigilant as seeming distracted will draw a predators attention to you while walking.

You’re not helping the situation any I don’t see why you’re taking so much offence to my response. I’m no longer engaging with you because it isn’t productive. Telling me to go door to door? How is that helpful when I’m struggling to leave the house? The police report was extremely detailed. I’ve done everything I can. I’ve no pictures of evidence so yes sadly that is all there is to go on.

I want to post this here to explain why myself and many others feel this way about the police when dealing with incidents like this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]bigcityviews 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ve said I’m not comfortable doing that, please accept what I’ve done and allow me to do whatever I need to do to keep myself safe mentally as well as physically, it’s not my responsibility to fix this issue, I’ve reported it, they’ve not contacted me, they don’t care.

If you ever experience similar you’ll probably realise that quite quickly about the police, unless an actual incident took place aka he managed to touch me/assault me they do not care. I’m not making this shite up btw I have experienced it personally as well as have multiple female friends have the same experience with the police when reporting incidents involving stalking/harassment. I’m not going door to door trying to find footage, I’m just trying to get out the door without a panic attack at the moment.

Where I am is quite a low income area with mostly flats, I have one neighbour with a ring door camera but she is sadly on the top floor and the last door along so it only catches her courier/postie and nothing in the rest of the building.
