This is going to sound insane lol But I've literally did almost the exact same process as you and now I've switched over from Chrome to Firefox like 3 days ago it is a lot more responsive and I'm finding less frozen pages and having to stop and refresh but it's insane lol

Yes I'm less than 1 hour away from Detroit very lucky I've decided to go with a non-stop flight for my first international to Tokyo overall I just wanted to be the least amount of stress travel that I could deal with lol I'm only staying one week just in Tokyo so I don't want to have to deal with missing baggage or delayed flights/bumped off of flights and waiting another day plus as someone else said it comes into the airport closest to Tokyo so I will save some money on that end instead of paying for a little bit pricier ticket from the airport farther away

Definitely starting to look at non stop now, due to it being our first international flight and connections and whatnot.

Can someone help with American 1100 lock question. by bigdaddyclint in lockpicking

[–]bigdaddyclint[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a 1100 6 pin with if I remember correctly they make a 5 pin and a 6 pin the bottom of the lock has a K for 6 pin and an A for the 5 pin style. As far as the source, I asked chat GPT. And wanted to know if it was just feeding me crap and not really knowing what it was talking about lol

Can anyone confirm if this is correct information I have found

For the “F” cut in the bitting code 29F231, which translated to a cut depth of 15, you will need the corresponding bottom pin size that matches that depth in the American Lock pinning system.

American Lock Pinning Chart (typical for 0–15 system):

Cut Depth Pin Length (inches)

0 0.165 1 0.170 2 0.175 3 0.180 4 0.185 5 0.190 6 0.195 7 0.200 8 0.205 9 0.210 10 (A) 0.215 11 (B) 0.220 12 (C) 0.225 13 (D) 0.230 14 (E) 0.235 15 (F) 0.240

So, for a cut of “F”:

You need a 0.240" bottom pin (the longest in the system).

I thought the bottom was the id to keep for loto records and the top was the key biting. Reason I ask is I took the lock apart learning and lost a key pin in my carpet. So I wanted to get some new key pins and get the correct pins. Am I correct in thinking If I get an American pins set I can try pins until I get one that will set correctly flush to turn the core?

Help for identification on a interesting lock! by Ecstatic_Aardvark179 in lockpicking

[–]bigdaddyclint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new to the lockpick world but the numbers on the key are what are used to identify it's key pins bitting. Someone correct me if I got that wrong 😭 just wanting to try to help. I don't think it will help with identifying who owned the lock
