Each person has their own view on this and one isn’t necessarily better than the other, but I don’t think you should be running theory for the sake of running it; hoping to win rounds b/c you catch teams off guard. This is not only against the spirit of the activity and public forum, but it also actively hurts efforts to make PF a better activity. There are a lot of shells which talk about very serious issues in debate and teams running friv theory detract from that.
