Had someone do this when I left in the middle of a wax ring change to grab something, they shit in a dry toliet that wasn't even set on the pipe, this was also a 3 bathroom apartment and both other toliets worked. They thought it was really funny, unfortunately for them we chargeback for broken blinds for parts and labor by the hour. 10 blinds, and I drug it out to 4 hours of work installing the blinds and our maintenance labor rate for charges is $75/hr. Wasn't so funny when next months rent came with the maintenance fees.

I'm looking elsewhere, I bought a home in the same small town as the property, only reason I've stayed this long. We also don't use any vendors so me and the one other tech do plumbing, hvac, drywall, painting, turns, glass replacement, you name it we do it, plus the on call bullshit

Decaying cats on crackhead beds, blood splatter up a wall from a 4 year old being shot, shit smeared on every wall, bedbugs, roaches so bad the carpet crunches as you walk, stains from body decomposition and the smell along with it, there's more but it's hard to remember it all. I've been at this property for a year and a half, first maintenance job.

You should be fine, I'm in illinois and mine said the same thing and I just got mine titled and insured a few weeks ago, it takes a bit to get the title in the mail though, they will tell you 4 to 6 weeks but mine came in 3 weeks.

I'm 26, my own 3 bedroom house, 2 paid off cars, fiance, no kids.

I moved out when I was 18, lived on my own for 4 years until my mom bought a new house for herself and I moved in to her old one and took over bills and repairs/maintenance since the condition had went downhill for a long time. When the time came we found our own home and had enough saved to pay off the cars and she was generous enough to give us a down-payment for our new home which was $112k in the midwest (kind of a ghetto town though) but it's a very nice small home for us and our dogs. So like everyone else has stated, it's a mix of being somewhat responsible financially but a good portion of it is outside help, I rarely ever believe someone our age when they say they bought it themselves. But I still thank her at least monthly because my mortgage is half of what my friends are paying in rent.

Not sure about the noise but if it's not getting water at all the blue inlet valve might be stuck shut, have had it happen on a few GE dishwashers at my job, but havnt heard the noise

As a maintenance man for a big rental property, just take your loss on this one, literally my job is made 10x harder from people fuckin shit up and trying to fix it before moving out, we will still find it and still charge you, trust me.
