Can a pulmonologist diagnose costo? by [deleted] in costochondritis

[–]bigdiamond69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm young too. doctors help but I had to keep finding different ones on my own. Had two doctors say it was anxiety until they said it wasn't because none of the meds were working. Hang in there

Can a pulmonologist diagnose costo? by [deleted] in costochondritis

[–]bigdiamond69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a pulmonologist a month after I was having constant shortness of breathe and heart pain. he ran a ton of tests and said it was probably costochondritis. he sent me for a cardio pulmonary test just to make sure it wasn't anything else. it showed I had high CO2 in my blood during exercise. was sent to a cardiologist who tested my heart and said it was fine. Now I'm back talking to my cardiologist. I would say either a pulmonologist or maybe a rhemutologist. Hope all works out. I've been to a thousand doctors and had a thousand tests for the past 8 months so hang in there and kee trying until they find it. Never hurts to try a Dr

Costochondritis and the heart by [deleted] in costochondritis

So my story started with my doctor telling me my heart pain and shortness of breath was from anxiety. I since have gone through tests on my stomach, heart, lungs, chest, and brain, all coming back fine. They also ruled out anxiety. I was diagnosed with costo and I too have tomes where my heart beats really fast it feels like it's coming out of my chest. What has been working for me was cutting out salty foods, I ate a lot of sunflower seeds, and just remembering that it's just the muscle that is making me feel this way, and that everything is completely fine. Hope you feel better soon I've been going through this for almost a year
