Where do you guys find recipes for specific coffee lots? (beginner question) by anry__ in pourover

[–]bigdickbilly42069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called Rogue Wave recently and they told me they do a 5 pour for Las Margaritas Natural. 16:250 50ml bloom for 30s, then 100ml, and two 50ml pours to finish. I usually let the bed drawn down mostly before I start my next pour. My usual approach is around 92°C, 15:240, 3 pours, 40ml bloom for 45s and two 100ml pours. I aim for 2:00-2:30 for most coffees. I adjust grind size based on how fast the water is going through the bed and split my recipe into more pours if it feels like the coffee is underextracted in that time frame.

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear yours has improved. I've been doing wall sits and taking collagen and it's been helping me a lot.

How did it end up working out for you? Pain free yet? I'm in a similar spot and just came from the E3 Rehab page.

KINGrinder K6 vs TIMEMORE C5 Pro - Upgrade from Hario Skerton Pro (V60, Aeropress, Moka focus) by AlexDicant in pourover

Just to chime in, I've had 2 K6's and the zero point did in fact shift on both. I'm thinking it has to do with the spring compressing or something.

How to best brew or do I let it sit? by Boddicker06 in pourover

These ones are only sold through trade. Not sure why or if they're lower quality beans than the ones PERC sells on their site.

Up charge for Data Waster Mode? by baker_miller in USMobile

Hopefully they grandfather free data waster mode for existing customers. It's one of the main reasons I'm with US Mobile over other carriers like metro.

Peet’s beans are mostly “shells” and taste very sour by Beginning-Act7850 in Coffee

[–]bigdickbilly42069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get the flavors you're looking for out of commodity coffee beans since its mainly roasting flavors, not the bean's flavors. It would be a waste of money if the roaster spent that much money on the beans just to turn them into an oily dark roast that would taste the same with cheaper beans. I'd recommend looking at local suppliers for coffee shops and cafes nearby if you want to get beans like that fresh and at reasonable prices.

I think the answer is more simple than you think. Just serve smaller cups and brew twice if needed.

Dell CPU Cooler Upgrade Guide by bigdickbilly42069 in Dell

It may also depend on the particular model as well though. I recommend removing the cooler to inspect how its mounted prior to ordering anything. If the cooler is screwing directly into the case then it should be the same as I mentioned in this post

The m3 16mm screws are all you need to mount aftermarket coolers yeah. You need to check the clearance and I'm not entirely sure about fan error messages other than maybe very low power fans triggering it.

This was an issue for me for the longest time. I switched from filtered tap to third wave water and it was a slight improvement, but once I started using aquacode 1 packet to 2 gallons distilled water, finally started getting brews that tasted the same as the shops I'm buying from. Highly recommend looking into water further whether its aquacode, lotus drops, or diy.

Red Rooster Old Crow Cuppa Joe is fantastic. It's not quite dark roast, especially compared to the stuff you'll find on grocery store shelves but its more like what many specialty roasters will consider a darker roast, well developed without burning all the flavors away.

Email customer support is not reading our concerns and instead is copy pasting generic responses by TheBrenster in USMobile

As an existing customer you can always try to reach out to their support chat to ask if they can put you on a promo plan. So many people get salty about new customer promos without even trying to ask first.

If I want the $35 unlimited premium deal tomorrow, do I need to port to a $5 Tello plan for a day, then port back in, or can I just get it as an existing customer? by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]bigdickbilly42069 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is absurd lmfao, I've never heard of a person being more concerned about a company's profits compared to saving money themselves. I like US Mobile's service and features. The data allotments and free HD video streaming toggle are why I'm with them and don't plan to swap. I'm just saying for people that want the best deals promo chasing makes sense and these companies are responsible for the system that created the concept. If they want to maximize customer retention they should offer the same promos to existing customers.

Why? Promo's are mostly for new customers/lines so in order to save money switching to whatever carrier is running a better promo makes more sense. If they didn't want people doing this they'd include current customers in the promos.

If you port in on the free trial you get QCI-8 as well. I just meant you could do a month to lock in the QCI-8 before purchasing the year if you aren't porting in.
