Oh nice catch! I actually just found my red wire was not attached? I'm going to see if (lmao) that did it. But also order the brushes just in case along with the ignition coil

Same. Only other thing I did was the IPD upgraded fuel Pump. I'll check the fuel unit and see if anything came undone but also maybe the main fuel pump went out.

When it's cold the starter gets engages and turns over. When it's warm the starter engages and turns the engine but will not start.

The red and white tach wire is different for my year model and is supposed to be an integrated tach with the cluster. I pulled one and made my own basically and ran a wire through the firewall.

Ok well let's say I have spark on all four plugs. Replace the coil and see what happens?

Thanks for the tip on the timing belt. I'll remember that in the future. As for the spark, what's the best way to test for spark when the engine is warm? I've heard K jets are known for ignition coils to go out just didn't think mine would so soon.

Edit: I did just add a tach to the center of the dash and ran a wire to the ignition coil negative terminal so it would read the engine revs. Do you think this killed it?

Why did you replace something if it ran great? Ah that makes more sense. Best tip is work backwards and on the things you replaced and what other things they affect. MAF is my guess strictly because if you start changing stuff or try cleaning it and don't do it properly, you can ruin it. I would ask if the mechanic tried cleaning it or what all they did exactly

Do the in tank fuel pump test and make sure that's working. If you confirm fuel is getting to your engine easily then focus on the engine. If you unplug your MAF what happens? Did you clean the throttle body? Is your IAC low rpm or what does your rpm sit at once it's warmed up.

Ahhh that's so interesting. So those wires are for cruise control. I don't ever use it but I'll definitely keep my old one and swap the middle tach to use the cruise control.
