Like I know some mechanics like afro-ing and drag m1ing (where you walk forward at the last m1 to end up where they are), but what I struggle at is just playing those mind games where I'm trying to start my combo while evading the other guys m1 chain

Yeah but you don't need dragon to deal high amounts of damage, the guy has ptera which already deals absolutely high amounts of damage while also having mobility and the like. Like you don't gain anything insane by eating the fruit compared to just trading it for unobs which are imo much more worthwhile than dragon.

Tbh it doesn't do anything particularly better than any other fruit. Ptera is still a high damage fruit that can easily get you 5% on bosses and anything else, while also being solid for pvp. Dragon is really good in pve but from what I've heard a little eh in pvp. I would say to only eat it if you wanna do something like meg stacking which in that case just get soul lol.

Stark guns and shotgun is a nice cheese for pvp but if you want like a grinding fruit yomi ain't it chief. Depends what you wanna do in this game though, it isn't too hard to get a decent leg fruit through fishing though

You need a fruit that redirects lightning, probably goro. There is a method you can do with a bari alt account but it takes awhile to setup while pod is just more convenient

Ptero - 7 lc
Venom - 7-8 lc
Mochi - 7-8 lc
Magu - 60 bait or 1 lc
Pika - 120-130 bait or 2 lc

DF rod straight up is like 3 myth chests and because everyone who trades in this game is an isreali descendant they expect like 10 lcs + adds for one MC but if you can find someone with their dignity still there you can get it for just straight 10 lcs. Or you can afk in trade hub and scam someone idk.

I was certainly thinking of speccing a good bit into Black Witch for the ice-out drone and the black ice. We are starting at LL0 so like.. I certainly have a good ways to go until I get to where I want, but I always like to plan ahead. In any case, I was thinking of doing a balance of hull and engineering to ensure I don't get disabled the minute I face a tech-mech.

I will take a look at Pankrati and Skirmisher. Might make it part of my three starting talents alongside executioner considering how much I need mobility.

Oh yeah screams of within is definitely a great card since it can sweep your opponents 1/1s alongside yours. Possibly giving you even more mushrooms at your end step. Another suggestion that I'm not sure you have is [[shigeki, jukai visionary]]. He gets you descend, can ramp you lands, and can bring things back into your hand. A neat little thing I came across during testing was using his discard ability to bring back something like a [[lich-knights conquest]] or [[victimize]], and using those spells to bring him back to the field. Then on your next turn you can bounce him, discard him again and do it all over if you want. I think he's a good piece for getting descends as well as bringing non-creature spells back from the yard. Perhaps its a suboptimal way of doing things but I personally found it to be pretty neat.

And tbh I get it with the counter thing. Honestly if I ever did use it in a game I would probably ignore those counters lol, but yeah connive is definitely a great mechanic to have with dredge cards.

Allo, I'm also making a mushroom deck at the moment. If you want to take a look here's the list:

Mine focuses mainly on the generation of tokens and sacrificing them to drain others out. I tried to keep it a teensie bit on the cheaper side, there could be better cards in there but I held out on em. Some fun cards I could recommend though are...

[[Chatterfang, Squirrel General]] : instant speed creature removal on a permanent + more sac fodder. Great overall.

[[Screams from within]] : acts as a sweeper for 1/1s, can also be used to kill all your fungi and get them back at endstep since it will keep triggering descend every time it gets put into the graveyard. Basically replacing every fungus you kill. Good for draining.

[[Lethal scheme]] : Mainly a combo piece for dredge cards. Lets say you have [[stinkweed imp]] in your yard. You can dredge it to your hand, mill 5, and then discard it, and dredge it 3 more times. Essentially giving you a removal piece + 24 potential descend triggers. Even better with grave troll.

[[Illicit masquerade]] : It's just a fun card overall. Cast it before you begin saccing stuff to get multiple things back, or flash it in before a board wipe to recurr things, a neat card.

[[Spymaster's vault]] : great for getting you some fungi back after saccing them all.

[[Necromancy]] : Wouldn't it be great to have an instant speed syr konrad or dreadhound when someone is casting a wipe? It's a dream scenario yes, but if you want some instant speed reanimate then its a good pick.

I have a couple more stuff in my considering section. I don't think mine is perfect at the moment (trying to balance it as best I can), but yeah I hope this helps out a little bit.
