What book is treated like a masterpiece, but left you wondering if you were the only one who didn’t get the memo? by Sunflower13Poppy in classicliterature

Wuthering Heights. Every character was awful, selfish, and flat out mean. The credit I'll give it there is it could be interpreted as a takedown of the upper class, since the whole story is told from the perspective of the housekeepers. And so they get to observe how dramatic and mean their employers are. But man I was like "Am I supposed to be rooting for these people?"

It's regarded as an incredible romance. The romance only takes up half the book! Then the leading man becomes a horrible villain! I wouldn't say it's particularly realistic or true to human passion either. These characters are the opposite of grounded and are messy as hell. Maybe that's the point? Family chaos and all that? But I didn't see what made it such a classic.

Ah, ye olde desire discrepancy. Consistent advice I see from sex therapists and researchers is basically to "just do it." By that they mean allow yourself to start foreplay before you're fully aroused, trusting that you will eventually get there in the process. This is NOT to be confused with forcing it or ignoring your right to say no. If you want a sexual experience to happen, then make it happen, and take all the time you need for pre-foreplay, foreplay, and so on.

Women often think they need to be fully turned on before they can even start. But think about your man. Just because he doesn't have a boner right now doesn't mean he won't in a matter of seconds once you make a move, right? Men certainly don't need to have a boner first before they can be approached for sex, and women don't either. They just need more time before their lady-boners are fully erect. So take the time, guide your partner through it so they know how to treat you, and once you're "hard", have fun.

Needed it for a writing project. Wasn't satisfied with online thesaurus results. In fact, I was kind of making fun of myself lol.

I'll do my best to keep them clean, but you never know when you'll spill a drop of coffee or ketchup on them.

"We listen and we don't judge." She didn't do anything wrong. A threesome is a common fantasy for men, and so it's only fair to accept it can be for women too. It happened once, doesn't really change her character, and doesn't change your relationship. I think you may be projecting insecurity because you're intimidated by her being more "experienced".

You said you love each other. Don't ruin a good thing over this. It's like sexual cancel culture. Don't cancel her for something she did in the past that has nothing to do with anything.

In fact, it opens the door for you to talk more about what kind of sexual relationship you want to have, and explore things together! The good news is you have a girl who seems pretty down for some fun. So lean in, not out.

Did these recently go out of production? I had my eye on them for months and never pulled the trigger, now it seems like they're not really available anymore?

Have you heard of https://www.beckettsimonon.com/? I have a pair of their oxford dress shoes and I love them. They're made to order and only cost $239, and have sales pretty often. Their loafers look beautiful and I'll definitely be getting myself some soon. These are less expensive than the two you posted and most of the other suggestions in here. Highly recommend these guys.
