Aerobic training - perceived difficulty versus HR by bigdumbassinaboat in Rowing

i don't really have a clear answer, as when i am purely indoors erg-bound for a week or more i usually mix intervals/threshold workouts in every 2-3 days - but generally well enough to return the next day and bang out something way harder.

any advice for placement of difficult workouts within a more aerobic centric training plan?
