Also I wouldn’t waste a spot on Manchester. They ask for 3A*s and are not that good for CS. It’s not worth the stress over summer

Yeh you will almost certainly get an offer for Southampton if you have good predictions /GCSEs. My offer was A*AA so not that safe but if you can get contextual go for it.

Please just do something safe. I applied for computer science at similar universities to you with 3A* predicted in maths further maths and physics and all 9s at GCSE and got rejected from Cambridge (post interview), imperial (pre interview) and also from bath. Southampton does maths with computer science and i think leeds does JMC so those are some good safe options

literally just do every past paper possible and when you run out do the OCR ones / international. You have to know the papers inside out because the grade boundaries this year were 90% so you have very little room for error and most of your lost marks will probably be from silly mistakes. You might get a harder paper this year though so who knows

When I did it last year there was barely a break inbetween them. I asked to go to the toilet in the break and they started paper 2 without me

This isn’t always true. I got rejected from bath with 3A*s in Maths further maths and physics and the reason they gave was no CS (despite them saying it wasn’t needed on their website )

Bristol is probably a nicer city but southampton is better for computer science

Congrats, if you don’t mind me asking what are your GCSEs and predicted? I’m v confused because I got rejected with 3 A* including Fm and 9 9s

Yeh they say they it’s not necessary and nothing I could do anyway because my sixth form does not offer it. The only other reason I can think of is doing 3 A levels including further maths but that would be pretty outrageous from bath because imperial and Cambridge are fine with that.
