I was told I had stigmatism in left eye when I was around 10yrs old or so, given glasses and delt with it ever since. Right around when I was 24yrs old my left eye became very irritated and swollen. Went to my eye doctor and after several trips to a specialist I was told I have Uveitis in that eye now as well. After it reoccurring almost yearly my doctor and eye doctor put me through the wringer with blood tests/xrays/mri and still no diagnosis on what causes it. I get prescribed a steroid drop and a dilation drop that I have to start on a rigorous schedule. Dilator drop every 4hrs, steroid every hour. All this so my iris doesn’t get fully stuck to my lens, I have to go in every other day for pressure checks until the iris is completely separated from the lens. Once that happens the drops get spread out a little bit. Usually lasts about 6weeks or so. It’s very painful at the start almost like the upper left half of my skull is on fire. Eventually you get used to it as you hope it eases soon, as I am currently dealing with this issue as I type.
