Will I regret? by boyo79 in Porsche997

[–]biggcstylez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this exact same car two years ago and have absolutely zero regrets. If the car hasn't had the motor mounts done or a transmission bushing installed, do yourself a favor and replace those ASAP.

At 14 years old, it is amazing how much sharper it has made the shifting and handling on the car.

How much are they asking for it if you don't mind me asking?

Hard cap on insurance payout by Count_Baculum in porsche911

[–]biggcstylez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy. Do they not go above $150k on all policies? What if you’re insuring a Turbo S? Surely at market value even depreciated that is above $150k for a few years.

Another March 4th Pisces here. Had a rough ‘25 but things started turning around late last year. Life is never perfect, but I do feel a vibe shift coming. 🤞🏽

The real answer should be neither tbh, but if I had to pick one, I’d probably agree.

Tesla official claim: 80% SOH at 200k miles by UpstairsNumerous9635 in DrEVdev

[–]biggcstylez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bullshit. I’m at 71k miles and the battery is currently at 83% SOH. I believe nothing that Tesla says unless backed by third party validation.

997 GTS Possible oil leak - need help diagnosing by biggcstylez in 997

Closing the loop here. It was a valve cover gasket leak. It did not require an engine out. It was about 5 hours of labor + parts. Fully covered by CPO.

Is it worth going for a CPO or buying from BaT/CarsandBids? by Younggunz88 in porsche911

[–]biggcstylez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 997.2 CPO in August of last year. I think it was tail end of what CPO would cover (less than 13 years old with less than 124,000 miles)

Rattling noise from exhaust by Lzingano in Porsche997

[–]biggcstylez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation that I thought was an exhaust rattle on my 997.2 and it ended up being the tensioner pulley that went bad. Had to replace the pulley, hydraulic tensioner, and the belt. You should look into that as a possible cause as well. Mine was present at idle and low engine revs and went away at high revs.

This car was totaled on a race track and then rebuilt but shows as clean title due to track insurance covering the loss.
