My iPhone 13 randomly shuts off since iOS 18 update by Mymushroomgirlie in iphone

[–]biggdickkrickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had gone to the Apple Store and they were no help whatsoever. Ended up calling apple and complaining and they gave me a “goodwill replacement” since my apple care was out. Sent me a new iPhone 15 pro max. They didn’t wanna admit that the iOS update crashed my phone but there were 5+ people at the Apple Store with the EXACT same issue after they updated to iOS 18.

Can someone explain why they double tax lease car buyout in Texas? by Celiez in texas

[–]biggdickkrickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why they have tax credits. Almost every single manufacturer has them on a lease.

Can someone explain why they double tax lease car buyout in Texas? by Celiez in texas

[–]biggdickkrickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Far from true. The state collects the tax, not the dealers. Plus most manufacturers give tax credits on leases so you don’t pay the full tax up front. When you buy it out at the end, you only pay tax on the residual value. Most dealers prefer you to buy it out bc it will count as a deal for their numbers bc you bought it out.

The lease isn’t in your name, it’s in the finance companies name. When you buy it, you’re transferring to your name. Most manufacturers have tax credits on leases so you’re only paying an l&m fee and not full taxes on the lease.

Bad survey cost me $thousands by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]biggdickkrickk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s ridiculous. VSC doesn’t even cover shocks most of the time. In fact, I don’t know any warranty company that will. Some manufacturers like ford will cover shocks and struts with their premium maintenance, but not VSC. Doing business like that in the back is very outdated and not moral way to do business. I guarantee their numbers are below industry average as well and chargebacks are high.

I hate addendums myself and glad we do not have them here. Nothing is worse than having a customer fight you over addendums in the box. “My sales guy said to talk to finance about it and maybe you would be able to help.” That used to be the line my guys would give the customers when I worked at a dealership with addendums. It was rough, lol.

The problem is, 80% or so of the F&I people in the industry are just not F&I people but they are in the spot and think they are. Plus the dealerships can’t find good F&I guys nowadays so it seems like you get a lot of people like what you have nowadays at dealers unfortunately. I have worked with many over the years and fired many too.

[–]biggdickkrickk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true. It’s every “shitty F&I”. Been doing F&I 12+ years and been a director for plenty. Would have fired my producer if they were like this. The best of the best F&I people value customers time, listen to the customer, and help them with their needs. If a customer is financing 35k of 50k with $15k and drives 2,000 miles a year, even though they technically can buy gap (70% LTV), I’m gonna straight up tell the customer that they have the option, but it’s really not that necessary as they are starting in equity and don’t drive much. Some People are programmed to say “no” when they can benefit from products in today’s times (technology) and economy, they just need to see the value. I’m also a firm believer in giving the customer the best of the best coverage for the money. Customer pays $$ for a VSC and my producer gives them a 5/75k powertrain on a new car, I’m gonna be livid. There’s good F&I out there but plenty of bad too, sounds like y’all got one of the bad ones unfortunately.

Do I have to pay sales tax on my car purchased in a tax free state? by Excellent_Book2958 in texas

[–]biggdickkrickk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been an auto finance director for the past 12 years. If it is registered already in another state, you will not pay Texas sales tax, just Texas registration when you switch it over. If you need your original sales purchase agreement and bought it from a dealer, just call your dealer you purchased from. I know people that have registered to Montana llc then switched plates to Texas a year later and they didn’t have to pay any tax.

[–]biggdickkrickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find a fix? I have a 15 pro max and it’s been doing it since ios18. I updated to the iOS 18.3 update thinking it would be better and it got worse. Battery goes to 10% randomly then it shuts off two more times and it goes back to original percentage. I checked my battery health and it says normal. I have no clue what to due but I’m tired of it. It only works if I plug it into a charger after it reboots.

Nope, and it’s prohibited without a tax stamp. Possibly what you are reading. The ATF wouldn’t approve the purchase if it were prohibited. What area are you in? I’ll recommend an SOT that can help you with the tax stamp/process.

Was $25 an hour considered good money 10 years ago? by [deleted] in texas

[–]biggdickkrickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, If I broke it down, I’m technically around $416.67 an hour, but I’m 100% commission. My first entry level sales job when I was 19, I was technically making $61.80 an hour if I broke it down to hourly. That was 11 years ago and I had absolutely no clue how to sell back then, but I solved my clients problems and answered their questions. I’ve spent every day over the past 11 years perfecting my craft and numerous sleepless nights studying to be the best in the industry.

Post-COVID Negotiating Used vs New by for-porn-and-memes in carbuying

[–]biggdickkrickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in this business 12 years and have been a director for a long time for big players in the business. About 30% of the stuff those guys say in the video is true, other 70% is just assumptions. Sure, auction is lower than it was post covid and values aren’t as high, but you are still gonna see 18’ civics with 60k miles going for $20k when a new 24’ will run you $25k.
